Great food, service fine - we were in the back dining room which feels a bit formal (had our two young children with us) and would have enjoyed the experience all the more if we were sitting in one of the front rooms which felt cosier and had a more buzzing atmosphere. Would definitely recommend for a good quality Sunday... More

We ate at the Wynnstay's Pizzeria, which you get into via a separate entrance to the main hotel and restaurant. They were very busy, on a Saturday night, so although we were seated immediately it took a while to get our order taken. The pizzeria only sells soft drinks and bottled beers, so if you want anything draught you have... More

The Wynnstay Hotel in Machynlleth ('mackh-unthleth' is about as close as an English speaker gets) do a set meal on Wednesday market days: £10 for two courses, £12.50 for three. Example: Soup*/Potted Welsh ham, house chutney; Carbonnade of Welsh beef, crushed potatoes, panache of veg., or courgette, sweet pepper and mozarella quiche, potato and veg.; Chocolate ice cream sandwich. a... Friendly quick service. Lunch was good, though we had to ask for mint sauce for the lamb. Good portion size. Starters and desserts were a bit unusual. The place seems a bit dated in decor, but that's the character of an old building. Good value.

Enjoyed a decent enough pizza, probably should have shared it! Staff were friendly and the place looked clean. We didn't go into the main Wynnstay Dining Room as we only needed a snack. Recommend the Mochyn Glas, Blue Pig pizza which was bacon, mushrooms and blue cheese - very tasty!

Another great pizza from Kevin. I have tried to find a better pizza, from Zepherellis in Ambleside to Pescara in Italy.....they can't be topped!

Wow, what a surprise, a really great Pizzeria. Had a super meal & wine. Locally sourced ingredients made for a super meal. Will definitely go again!

Whilst staying in the local tree houses we popped into Machynlleth for tea one evening initially heading for the main Wynnstay area we were turned about as they were fully booked however this was not an issue as attached to the back of the hotel is a small but amazing pizzaria, it was very quite but the locally sourced food... We were really disappointed with our visit to the Wynnstay. Went with our Grandchildren. Asked for small portion of Sunday Roast the beef was really rare and our Grandchildren couldn't eat it. The Staff didn't seem bothered that the food had been left. We had to get the children food at another local eating place.
