best chips on the planet

I have been a fan of Brown's. Since I was a kid, came down from school at lunch time to have a bag of chips (with bits- batter)and a coke float in the 70's. Took my first date out and sat in the 1950's style red leather booths. Hasn't changed much, I love it. Best chips on the planet. Xxx

food was great service was great and staff were absolutely fantastic! They couldn't do enough for us. There was only 3 young ladies and the cafe was packed out and they coped with the lot! Definitely will be returning soon! But would like to say you could tell there was a atmosphere with the man that worked there and the... More

Well we had decided to have a day out to Pembrokeshire. Started out early but got caught up in traffic. By the time we had done the shopping etc.we wanted to do it was late in the afternoon before we got chance for 'dinner'. We did try a pub we know first but, they were closing at 3pm. so we... More

Hungry from working all morning, then caught in torrential rain, I decided to stop for Brown's "Famous fish and chips". I am so glad I did. Best fish and chips I have ever tasted - really light, very crispy batter and proper chip shop chips. Washed down with a cup of tea, Great service, nice customers, the cafe had a... More

The service was brilliant all our meals were hot and there were 8 of us and it was very busy. I will be going... More

I loved Browns in Pembroke. Having grown up in the 70's and enjoyed what I call 'proper' cafés like this all my life, it was great to find one in Pembroke. No airs and graces, posh coffee's or exotic menu's that are hard to understand, let alone get your children to eat! Just good, honest food at reasonable prices. Friendly... More

I recently visited browns while on holiday and was very pleased with the food I had, it was a basic meal but lovely. Although The decor is out dated and could do with a nice fresh look the food and staff are very pleasant, if they could update the place it would be a lot more attractive for people to... More

Couldn't ask for a better fish and chips. The staff were just fantastic, very helpful. They always made sure we were happy with our food an drink. They have a lovely seating area outside in the sun, just brilliant overall, would recommend to any holiday maker, and anyone who hasn't eaten at browns.

The thick mist that sits in the air whilst you sit at your table is just awful. I now feel really gubby stink of chip fat! This issue needs to be addressed urgently. Shame really as the food was quite nice.
