Having just stayed at the Black Lion I would honestly rather sleep in the boot of my car next time. They messed up my reservation which meant that I had to spend an hour and a quarter of the wedding reception I was supposed to be at working that out for them (it was their mistake all along). In response to the review: I am firstly very sorry to hear that any of our guests have not enjoyed their stay but I feel I should put forward our side of events to get a balanced view. The problem with the booking in question was that a group booking had been made for several rooms in the same name...

Stayed at this hotel the other week we wouldnt stay again. We discovered that we had to pay extra for the breakfast when we got the bill which when you only had a bowl of ceral and your charged £3.95 for it leaves a bad taste in your mouth. Noticed it needed painting, Carpets need cleaning and they also need... more
