I like chips. Actually, I love chips. I'd have chips for breakfast, dinner, tea and supper. I could we'll be a chip addict. To cure my addiction, I will relocate to Tywyn, and go to Skippy's for 1 day. I have been going to Tywyn for 30 years, and despite several owners, I've never had a decent meal from there.... More

Disappointed to read the poor reviews for this place as I was to spend two nights at Tywyn, and as chip shops are always one of the highlights of my holidays it looked as if I was to have to source some other form of sustenance. Decided to give it a go anyway and soon found it completely different to... More

I live in Tywyn and I dont understand all the negative reviews... Nice well cooked REAL chips (not frozen reconstituted potato rubbish!). I'm a chicken and mushroom pie sort of a girl ( which come out nice and crispy not soggy bottomed), but having tasted my sons fish I am converted to cod and chips. The plaice is breaded and... More

As long time visitors to Tywyn, over 30 years, we have seen this establishment operated by several owners, none of them have ever really cracked it, more so the current ones. Every time we try Skippy's we hope it may have improved, but no, it has not, to the point we would rather eat cardboard than pay good money for... More

Reasonable price food, cooked fresh, clean and hygienic, friendly staff, prices not put up for the visitors pity they don't stay open later for that weekend.

Visited here on bank holiday Monday, girls on counter couldnt care less whether the spoke or not - everything seemed and effort. Food - well what can I say that isnt in the title, chips tasted like they had sand in them and fish was never cod in the world - it was grey!! The worst part of of our... More

I ate in one evening when Walkers was completely booked. Glad I did. The fish was cooked to the proper turn and the chips were done exactly right for my taste. Mainly a popular take-away--which seemed to do a land-office business my evening there--this restaurant also has a counter eating area. Friendly chatty staff. Reasonable prices.

We went to Skippys for fish and chips (which has been a tradition on arriving in Tywyn for us for nearly 40 years!), but arrived quite late. It seemed as if we were disturbing the staff in asking to be served as I think they were keener on closing up. Food was really really poor. Fish was not only greasy... More
