Having read all the reviews was really looking forward to dinning here . Nicely decorated traditional country pub , friendly attentive young staff but we were sadly disappointed by the food and the general hygiene . The wooden salt & pepper cellars were greasy , the cutlery was not polished and my husbands starter plate had a large visible chip... More

I went here for a meal with a friend a few fays aho. The pub atmosphere was great and there is good facilities. We ate in the restaurant which has a different vibe to the rest of the place and as homely feeling. The food was ok but strange combinations of food. It felt like we were on masterchef where... The gentleman who answered the phone was so rude, his favourite saying being "what's the problem!"abruptly, we didn't book our table for 7 to celebrate my parents golden wedding anniversary. Your loss !!

A veritable countryside gem. The menu was varied and the pricing represented very good value. To use the phrase "Proper Grub" was the order of the day hearty platefuls of delicious food excellently cooked with a lovely range of ales and wines on offer to compliment. Brilliant. Table service was excellent. The young lady was so very professional despite the... More

Stopped off for lunch on 19 June on way to North Wales. Food was way above average for quality / choice and beer was excellent, the best I had all week. Butty Bach and White Wych were in top condition. How I wish this pub / restaurant was much nearer to home.
