Popped into the pub after driving back from Snowdonia over the Easter Bank holiday. Found ourselves a lovely sunny spot out the back to enjoy the views, got ourselves a a couple of cold beers (which we had to put on a tab due to the £10 minimum for card, but we said we didn't mind as we would be... We are sorry that you were disappointed when you visited us over the Bank Holiday. We cannot understand how our normal food booking in process has fallen down on this occasion. We would normally book customers in with the restaurant staff once they have expressed an interest in eating so that they do not lose their place in the 'queue'.... More

Booked lunch sat 14th March and it was excellent as always. A great menu including specials and a comfortable restaurant. Owners friendly and welcoming. Good beers including real ales from local micro breweries. Good portions excellent quality home made chips and onion rings, top notch meat and fish. Overall a pleasure on the pallet. I have eaten here a number of times now and have never been disappointed. The restaurant is always beautifully presented with enough space not to feel crowded at busy times. The staff are pleasant and friendly with knowledgeable bar-staff and Maitre d'. The food is always excellent, freshly prepared and delicious. I have been particularly impressed with how well they... A large group of us booked for lunch. Service was good , considering everyone wanted something different! Food was well presented, hot and generally very good. There was one complaint about the gravy(sausage & mash) being a bit salty, but they welcomed feedback positively and apologised. Pub has a pleasant atmosphere and staff are very obliging. Desserts were a bit... More

This is a super place to call for a beer or a better than average pub meal. No pretensions here; a good selection of guest ales and generous tasty food. There is always a warm welcome and you often find live music. Every summer a weekend music festival is held here. It's a good place to head for at any... More

This is a comfortably refurbished historic coaching inn with great views over the Vale of Clwyd. We visited for lunch and enjoyed a friendly reception and great well cooked and generous food. Highhly recommended, particularly in summer when the views from the outdoor verandah are superb.

I has seen the reviews for this when I had written a review of a place in Ruthin but didn`t know where it was; so we went searching. It is a delightful old fashioned pub .actually not far... More
