Two of us visited 10th Jan, warm friendly welcome had drinks next to the fire and ordered from there. We were shown to our tables once the food was ready.. service was great and really attentive and the food was spot on. We were looking for a cosy "proper" pub with home made food and this ticked all the boxes...... More

We 'happened' across this smashing pub on a family walk. From the real ale and oak beamed ceilings, to faultless service and tasty food, it was a wonderful experience and we look forward to returning soon. We were lucky but it's worth booking ahead as they are surprisingly busy for a little pub off the beaten track

We booked two tables here for a family gathering shortly before Christmas. Warm setting, great service and great food, very accommodating for both adults and children

The choice of menu is very impressive for a country pub with something for everyone. I had the roast... More

Me and my friend had a stop here. A very typical, warm and comfortable pub. We had two teas and we spent some hours reading book and talking each other.
