Great food

first time I have been to this restaurant and I really enjoyed it, we sat upstairs on a Friday night. It was fully booked, there was a long delay for mains but put that down to it being so busy .Eight of us and everyone loved the food, it was a rainy night so did not get to see the... read more

Fantastic location and great decor in this newly refurbished restaurant by the sea. Food was really good and great choice on menu. Service was generally slow but staff friendly and helpful although not very polished as we had to ask for the wine list. What was most disappointing was the lady who served us when we asked for the bill... More

We have eaten here about eight times and despite the disappointments I keep giving it another chance as the food is really great. And that's it. Everything else is a let down, the extreme noise (take a tip from the Oyster Catcher and soundproof your restaurant) is irritating. Lunch is noisy enough but on one evening trip we were seated... Lovely place both in Anglesey and Criccieth. I think they should offer a lunch menu as it's dear to eat lunch there with evening prices. We had a lovely meal, both locations are beautifully furnished and details don't go a miss it's a lovely experience. I'd love to visit for lunch more often perhaps if a cheaper menu was offered... Having owned a bistro, I know when ingredients are locally sourced and this eaterie is not one I shall visit again. The ambience is mediocre but what really annoys me is when a bistro sets itself up a a culinary experience and fails to deliver. This place trades on two things ~ there are few places to eat in Menai... More

Dear Daisylonglegs229, I was very disappointed to read your recent review of our restaurant. Whilst we are grateful for all feedback and have benefitted hugely from Tripadvisor in terms of monitoring our progress and training staff, we find your review somewhat off the mark. In terms of locally sourced produce, I am proud to say that 64% of all kitchen... More
