Turned up at 1:50pm during the summer holidays to be ignored for 10 minutes in the restaurant. To be told serving finished at 2pm There were 8 adults and 6 children where we usually spend £300+ on food, beer and wine. Shame But we were told to go to the Pier for food, which was far more friendly and accommodating... More

I went for a nice evening meal with my family having heard a lot about the restaurant. We had a drink before the meal. The serving staff were all very good and polite. The wine list was good. We had a an amuse bouche which was some kind of hummus with crisps. None of us really liked this but it... More

Loved this place for lunch for years, but today was a big let down. I had a fish hot pot. The taste was fine, but the fish was full of bones and the flabby skin was not removed. More care needed when preparing fish. The burger was nothing special, slightly dry and overdone and not very tasty. Chips, through, were... More

We just popped in for lunch. Staff were pleasant and helpful, waitress kindly offered a cushion for my very elderly mother's chair. Atmosphere was pleasant with some background music which was low-key and unobtrusive. Surroundings generally very attractive My husband and I had pulled pork sandwich which was good and chips which were cooked perfectly as was my mother's sea... More

We live fairly locally so have eaten here a number of times, each time believing that perhaps this time it would live up to its own image of being a superior place to eat. Previously we have been unimpressed but not appalled - this time absolutely nothing came up to standard. Service was unprofessional but not unpleasant, the waiter and... More

Had lunch there on Saturday afternoon with a child and friend . Really enjoyed it and the service was pleasant and obliging. We had four different waiting on staff and they were all excellent which is a surprise. The child's meal was sausage(nice, proper sausages) tasty chips and beans. We both had wholegrain baguettes with salad and home cooked ham... More

I am afraid that for the third time in 18 months we had a very disappointing meal.....crab with a mango and chilli salad........the crab was tasteless and the plate it was served on was hot, so the tiny salad was wilted with hardly any mango and no Chilli............it was a starter size, so jolly expensive as a main course......a shame...
