We went here for a meal in the early evening. Barmaid wasn't too jolly and didn't actually tell us that the restaurant had opened when we were sat in an area on the other side of the bar from the restaurant waiting for it to open. The bright modern bistro is in stark contrast to the old pub and is... More

Just spent a week on holiday in Beaumaris, and we liked this restaurant so much we went twice. Why? Because the menu was so imaginative, especially for a vegetarian or fish eater, that we wanted to try more things on the menu. The Olde Bulls Head is a very old pub but the brassiere restaurant is a modern extension. There... More

The brasserie, what a disappointment, inattentive staff, slow service, very small portions, bland food (duck x 2) & over priced, never again!

An old world pub, good atmosphere and a nice pint. We had stayed at the Town house on a previous occasion but this weekend only for a few drinks in the pub.

Decided to order the large duck salad expecting to get a decent sized salad and a good portion of duck. Turned out to be a bit of greasy salad leaves that were drenched in olive oil, two halves of artichoke and flakes of duck so small I had to search for them in bottom of bowl. Disappointing and completely over... More

Let's get one thing straight the bull is a fantastic establishment and one one of my favourite places to go. I have been going there all my life and got engaged there. The food has always been great. I'm sure the loft still is. However the brasserie needs to pull its socks up. The menu is great as are the... More

The food was fine, of decent quality, served by very friendly waitresses and reasonably priced. The setting was agreeable, but it wasn't easy to get a table on a Saturday night. A good choice if you find yourself in Beaumaris.

I am originally from Anglesey and now live in Belgium so I am no stranger to good food. I have eaten at the Bull several times with my family, both in the Brasserie and upstairs in the Loft. I have never been disappointed with the food until this week... Our amuse bouche were mediocre and my starter (duck Bacon) whilst... More

An adventurous menu in pleasant surroundings. A good and inventive selection of vegetarian choices and a variety of options for light meals - better than the usual sandwiches and soup. Tasty puddings. Very handy for the castle (a 30 second stroll away).

The restaurant at Ye Old Bulls Head Inn may be considered one of Wales' best eating places (menu therefore starting from 60 GBP), the brasserie in the same building regrettably isn't. Small portions, steep prices, unspectacular dishes. My main course, fish skewer at 14 GBP, came with four tiny bits of fish (still wondering if the sole was actually sole)... More
