A fabulous little tea room

Just loved this place. The cakes were to die for and the service excellent. I loved the way they treated everyone. We were made to feel special. Some little old ladies came in and they were really looked after. Go, you won't be disappointed especially if you like home made cake!

Classic British tea room with lots of good home made cakes(I can only assume they are homemade due to the quality) and a fine selection of teas and coffee. Don't expect matching china, we had a really eclectic selection for our order. Most of it fine vintage bone china. Had to turn it over to check the marks! Quite small... More

The café was busy and we had to queue to get a table. This is usually a good sign, a popular café is a good café, and the food lived up to expectations. It is a very old building so the loos were a little basic but very adequate with even a choice of toilet seats on the wall. The... More

Called in here after doing a boat trip in need of a good cuppa to warm us up and we were not disappointed. Lovely old fashioned atmosphere great tea and a warm scone with jam and cream, lovely. However the best things were the staff, all young girls the day we visited but all very lovely and helpful. Would recommend.

Lovely vintage teasets used & lovely food ! Staff friendly & quick service. Only downside is the fact it is only a small place so gets full very quickly. We did have to wait about 15mins for a table. Full of elderly people who obviously love it there.

Just had a lovely lunch, I can recommend the baked potato with a wonderful salad, and also the home cooked ham and chips. The hot chocolate with a fresh cream was a real treat too. Service was excellent, and whilst the seating is limited it really is worth the wait. Unfortunately we couldn't fit in the amazing looking home-made cakes... More

Quite simply the best tea and cakes ever. Thirty teas to choose from served in china cup. Brilliant hot scones and amazing home made cakes. Gluten free cake menu was great too.

We called in here for lunch and weren't disappointed. We had a pot of tea for two in lovely mis-matched china crockery and enjoyed omelette and a jacket potato for lunch. The jacket potato was huge and very tasty with cheese, pickle and a lovely side salad. OH's omelette was equally as good, served with lots of chips. Service was... More

After walking in and out of two other tea rooms, either due to lack of choice, or service, we ended up at Beau's. It was third time lucky. A very pleasant setting, a good menu selection and friendly staff.

i went in on my own hoping to have a toasted sandwich and a coffee. I walked in and was shown to a table big enough to fit 6 or 8 people! I was then made to share this table without being asked!! The lady who showed me to the table was not friendly, she was very cold and didn't... More
