Superb food

Smart friendly restaurant in a hall above Beaumaris with lovely view over the Menai Straits from the grounds. The food was excellent. We had steak and sea bass, both locally sourced, and have never tasted better. Well worth the short drive out of Beaumaris.

Harry's is a very pleasant and relaxing place to dine. It can probably seat 40-50 persons at tables for two, four or more but all tables seemed spaced far enough apart to allow for everyone to enjoy discreet conversations. Also, if seated in the front half of the restaurant, diners can enjoy views of the car park and countryside. The... More

Just back from HPB Henllys. We ate at Harry's twice and on both occasions the food was excellent and the wine also very good. The restaurant has two halves, one a bit dark the other open and bright with big windows for the views. The staff are very friendly and most efficient. The only slight crit is that the price... We enjoyed our dinner at Harry's Bistro and thought the food was very good. Service is excellent. We were staying on-site at Henllys so only had to walk 50 yards. We thought prices were just a bit high, but then we had no worries getting home after a bottle of wine. We would certainly come again.

We ate out with friends. Nice atmosphere and a very good menu and wine list. I had not been well and didn't want to eat anything too rich, so asked if the sea bass could be grilled rather than pan fried with just some crushed new potatoes and green beans. It was all done without any fuss and we had... More

We visited Harry's Bistro as a small family group this week. My sister in law phoned ahead to advise them that I was vegan. She was told that this was not a problem, and a suitable menu would be available. This alone was very impressive. But it got better. The welcome, the views and the service were all first class.... Food and wine massively over priced (fillet of sea bass £22.50p - its less in the expensive Surrey Hills!!!) Busy but service ok. Main gripe my duck leg inedible - over cooked (no doubt in micro wave) and house wine £20 a bottle for indifferent red. Same at Sosban another over hyped expensive so called restaurant - HPB should look... More

Dear Caroline & DJ Speak I am responding jointly to both reviews made on the 4th April 2015 – as you are in fact a husband & wife tag team and have been a bit naughty in reviewing us negatively twice! I am also a little appalled that you have been "bad-mouthing" us in other reviews for restaurants in the... More

My husband and I visited here a few years ago and were keen to go back. Since then the business has been taken over and now has a different ethos. Making a large profit! The prices were extremely high.... £22.50 for sea-bass, £16.00 for duck leg... for that price it should be duck breast. My husband had the duck and... More

Second visit here for Sunday lunch. Very nice food and excellent, friendly service. The beef was cooked rare which didn't bother me as it tasted lovely but wouldn't suit everyone. They put some veg together with a yorkshire pudding for my child, which he loved.

Being HPB occupiers the use of this restaurant was easy. The prices were slightly higher than the norm but the resulting ability to walk to the restaurant balanced that out. Both evenings we used the restaurant the starters were excellent and the main courses of a very good standard. The waiters/ waitreses were very friendly and worked well together. The... More
