Fabulous views from the dining room

We walked here from Bull Bay hotel as their Chef had left. We went for afternoon tea and booked a window table overlooking the bay for the evening. We had a lovely meal, huge portions which we couldn't finish but very pleasant service and and lovely view. We watched Porpoises in the bay and chatted... read more

Nice welcome but food a bit disappointing. The spaghetti bol was too blitzed and was watery rendering it tastless. The cod dish on a slate was ok but small portion for price my husband described it as 'trying too hard'. My pork chop was gorgeous.

We loved the Trecastell and were rrgular customers for many years. unfortunately standards dropped and we stopped going. Tonight we thought new owners are in now so lets go. Phoned at 6 to see if a table was available. chould squeeze us in the resturant at 8.30 'great'. Upon arrival no table booked but ok as there was room in... More

We arrived here 4/8/15,unsure what to expect as we'd intended to go elswhere. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, rearranging the tables in the conservatory for us to sit. At first,I thought it was maybe a little pricey until the food arrived. Great portion sizes, quality food and well worth every penny. The sea views over Bull Bay are beautiful. The... More

Nice family run hotel and restaurant with a lovely sea view from the restaurant. we were served by the son of the owner who was a bit a character and made our visit fun. The menu was quite varied with a specials board. I chose the mussels with Thai cream sauce for starter, which was huge and delicious. My wife's... More

Have been here before for an anniversary lunch and decided to go again. Very welcoming, food excellent, piping hot and plenty of it. The restaurant was reasonably busy but we weren't kept waiting long, very attentive to all the customers and checked to see if everything was to our liking and did we need anything else. An excellent choice of... More

Went here for a meal as a family, our meals were absolutely lovely and they catered for a dairy and egg allergy perfectly. Was really refreshing to see a sign up saying we are happy to cater for people with allergies just let the chef know! Would definitely recommend. Also the views from the restaurant are beautiful!

I am local to Bull Bay / Amlwch and visit the Trecastell regularly. A few Years ago it went downhill but since Gil and James have taken over, their strategy is quality. Quality food, service and atmosphere. Their specials are innovative and different. The prices are reasonable and it's a great place for a date or with family. I'm the... More

Visited as part of a group of 30 for the Sunday Carvery. Accommodated full party in the hotel "breakfast room" with only 24 hours notice. Food and service was generally good on the day. Yorkshires were a bit crispy was the main complaint! The meat was all really nicely cooked and tasted good. Portion sizes were large, lots went back... More
