The best fish and chips in Criccieth

You only have to look at the huge queue. which seems to be a permanent fixture, outside this shop to know how good the food is. The best way to try them is to use the sit in cafe at the back of the shop and have their special. superb.

We visited after working up an appetite during our walk around the local castle across the road. We sat in the small cafe at the rear and were very pleased with the meal. The food was excellent, the service from the waitress was simply the best I have experienced in a while and we would visit again. We went for... More

Having read reviews advising of 45 minute takeaway waits, we were bemused to see the queues in the street! We walked in to find an empty sit down table to the rear. Three Cod Specials were ordered and 20 min later we were enjoying cod and chips. mushy peas, bread and butter and drinks. All was fresh, hot and very... More

Ha we queued in the rain for our chippy tea but it was well worth it, fresh fish friendly staff well worth a visit if you're in the area. Kids cleaned their plates and enjoyed the milkshakes too! You can sit in but it gets busy quickly so be there in time for opening if it's rainy like today otherwise... More

The queue said it must be good and the staff kept it moving well. When we got our fish and chips we wanted to eat them straight away while freshly cooked and they were fantastic. The best we have had in years. Highly recommended.

Went for tea last week and grabbed fish and chips for me, my wife and two children with three portions being enough to fill us. Took them to the beach Andre a wonderful memory sitting in a downpour eating one of the best chippys I have ever had. A true English holiday experience with excellent food and good service. Makes... I think the title says it all really; I have seen a queue move so slow! I nearly lost the will to live after half an hour!! Hope these people can sort this out as I don't think I'm the only one who couldn't bare to wait that long again even for the loveliest of fish suppers!

We decided to have fish and chips by the beach and opted to use this chippy - wow!! Never before have I queued outside a chippy - the queues were huge!! But well worth the wait - lovely staff and fantastic fish and chips! Would definitely recommend it.

We called in on night whilst on holiday nearby. My husband was happy to wait as the staff would not let any food leave the building unless it was totally ready. We took the food down to the sea front and ate probably the best food of our holiday in awesome surroundings. It truly will take some beating.

Don't by put off by the queue. Stand in line and be prepared to have excellent food, cooked to order. Hence the wait. All the family agreed that these fish and chips are some of the best we have ever tasted. A must visit, when in Criccieth.
