We had read the reviews and we're excited to try here. After queuing for near on 30 mins and waiting for the sit in eaters to get their fill first, I took my order from the lovely staff, very quiet and polite. Went back to eat them and although the fish and chips were ok, the portion sizes are VERY... More

Tried this diner for the first time and apart from a family with small children, it was empty (lunchtime). The waiter totally ignored us and we sat there about twenty minutes waiting to be served. Eventually, we walked out and went to the take away part to order. We aired our views about the service and the owners were very... More

Turned up 10 mins after closing time but the staff still served us with a smile - quite possibly thru gritted teeth - and the fish and chips were great.

Been over the years so many times and it's as good as ever. You might have to wait, but it's worth it.

We went for fish and chips here, as we'd been told it was the better of the two fish and chip places in Criccieth. It was quick service and our battered haddock was really full of fish, and not all batter as so often is the case. Price was reasonable too. Would go again.

Just go here! The fish is wow. Been coming here a long time and its always good. No wonder the queue is out of the door and onto the road! But like others have said eat in the café and you avoid all that. We had good old fish n chips with bread and butter can't beat a chip butty... More

Quite simply, the best in the country in my opinion, the fish just melted in my mouth, I wanted more, but I was full because the portions are so generous.

The 'Castle Special' is always a favourite when we visit Criccieth. Beat the queues and eat in the cafe at the back of the shop. The fish is excellent and the batter amazing! We'll be back.
