Top Cippy

Good quality fish and chips freshly cooked . Just down the road from the Castle is this great location and just a few yards from the see front and life boat house

Having read all the reviews about this chip shop we made a special trip to sample. We waited outside for 20mins and eventually the doors opened at 12.06pm (nothing wrong with that I hear you saying). We were the first to be served 2 portions of chips and two cans of coke £7.80 worth it I thought cos everyone says... More

Turned up to collect dinner at 5.30pm on a Sunday, there was already a short queue. As we placed our order 4 bits of fish came straight out the fryer and that was our dinner! Super fresh, and light and crispy batter and great chippy chips. Dinner for 4 was £21, eaten in the sunshine out the paper, ideal!

Absolutely fantastic fish'n'chips. Probably the best I've ever had. Yes you usually have to wait in line and they could probably get people through quicker but that's all part of the charm of this great place.

We were first in the queue at 5pm on Sunday evening having arrived in Criccieth at about 4 o'clock. The fish and chips were well worth the wait. We ate them sat by the beach. The batter on the fish was excellent and the chips were very good too. Will definitely have them again next time we are in Criccieth.

This place is dreadful. First of all, the food is mediocre at best. Small servings, flavourless fish, overpriced everything. That's of course if you ever get served. Several times I have had to wait 40 minutes to 1 hour before even having an order taken. The staff are inattentive and generally only cook one order at a time. The last... More

For a healthy appetite, one that has no issues regarding Gluten or Wheat, this is a real old fashioned chippie. There are always queues out into the narrow Castle Street and snaking up the hill. There is a small restaurant and it is wise to book or take a chance and arrive at the beginning of the lunch or evening... More

I'n not sure if these are the best fish'n'chips I've ever had, but it's def in the top 5. And after nearly 5 decades of eating them all over the UK every holiday, that's praise indeed. Yes, there's often a queue out the door, but it's worth the wait, especially as your f&c have usually come out of the fryer... More

We only had chips to take away but they were freshly cooked and tasted delicious. The Castle Fish & Chips was always busy a clear sign of satisfaction.

We regularly travel 30minutes to get fish and chips here even though there are plenty of other fish and chip shops local to us. The food is always hot, fresh and tasty. Never had a bad meal in all the time we come here. Hate the queuing which is always about 30 minutes wait when we come at 5pm. I... More
