Awesome Fish and Chips, freshly made! Not too pricey!! Sat and enjoyed on the beach! Perfect!! My stepdad was reliving his youth as this is where he and his parents used to come when they were young!

We spent 15 minutes queueing (Friday evening about 1800) outside before we even got to the start of the chippy. The queue inside snaked round the room and we saw few people leaving with anything while we were there. As they have an upstairs dining room I think priority was being given to those upstairs. We went off and had... More

Thank you for your 'review'. We are a food outlet and we believe it is customary to sample the food of such an establishment before reviewing it. Your comments appear to be based on a 15 minute wait outside of our shop. Contrary to your speculation, the 'upstairs dining room' is in fact a 5 table diner on the ground... More

I cannot believe that even when there is a queue out of the door, you still have to wait for the chips to cook. Cook more chips - simples!!!

Thank you for your comments. Our chips are prepared on the premises daily and are always cooked from fresh, not blanched. We also cook our fish and other items to order, as our priority is quality and freshness. The fact is that the majority of our customers use the common sense approach and appreciate that the process of cooking chips... More

Had a fantastic dinner in the castle fish shop last night. The food was excellent and was given the "scraps" when I asked for them which were yummy. Would recommend them to everyone and often do. Thanks guys really enjoyed them. Amelia.

Its worth joining the queue because it proves that people are prepared to wait to be served. The staff are friendly and cheerful. The food is better than in any fine dining restaurant. If possible take your fish n chips down to the front at Cricceth and enjoy stunning food with a stunning view

As expected, I waited nearly an hour and had the tastiest chips and fish for tea. The queue was outside the door when I arrived at 18.35 and I thought maybe 20 minutes later I'd be served, but the orders get big at tea time and the fryers can only deliver so much at a time. My order of 5... More

bad points the queue..it takes ages to be served good points simply best fish and chips -not greasy and great tasting. try eating in there so you completely miss the entire queue or queuing up before they open at 12 or 5 pm

We queued for nearly half an hour for some fish and chips despite there being loads of staff working. The diner upstairs seems to take priority over chip shop customers. Once we had the food, it was great but we were very hungry by then!
