What a dreadful experience. The food is awful, the restaurant is dirty and the staff are rude. Had to ask numerous times for cutlery. Was given just forks and spoons to eat with and when we asked for knives I was given a kitchen preparation knife and everyone else normal knives. The place was smelly and horrible and is the... More

Have eaten in this restaurant a few times but the last time was few months ago . Called in last night for a takeaway and ordered a starter to share ( Salt and Pepper squid) and two main courses. Now I know that the word 'salt' appears in the description of the squid but I have ordered it before and... More

Went there as my friend recommended as best Asian food in the area. When we got in, there were lots of customers. Surely I got very excited. However, my excitement turned into disappointment in the end. We ordered fried rice, some spicy chicken, fried squid. Fried rice was nice but nothing special. Spicy chicken was the nicest choice among all,... More

I am no stranger to the hot wok, I have visited in the evening and at lunch time. The food is and always has been exceptional. The problem here is the one member of staff, the older Chinese lady. We have had drinks virtually launched across the table at us on more than one occasion. Seriously this is no way... More

Visited with family for a nice meal out with my grandmother and thoroughly enjoyed it. The waiting staff and hostess were attentive and pleasant constantly ensuring that our drinks were filled despite how busy it was. The Malaysian banquet was delicious and I recommend people give it a go. The portion sizes were big enough that I suggest even ordering... More

Consistently good takeaway with some unusual dishes. Best local takeaway in Mold area. Would recommend trying.

Regularly go to the Hot Wok when visiting family. The food is always freshly cooked and well-presented; the menu offers plenty of choice for all tastes but, personally, I could just eat off the starter menu which is delicious. The Sunday banquet is particularly good value - it runs all day and offers a selection of starters and main courses... More

We were pleased to find this restaurant open at lunchtime, and enjoyed our two-courses for under £7 per person. Quite a few different menu choices which were new to us. Very pleasant staff. We'll be back one day!

Visited at Sunday lunchtime. Food was pleasant enough. The staff need training. We asked for a jug of water along with numerous alcoholic drinks and were given glasses of water, which was fine. My husband took some empty glasses off the table and was told no, leave them on the table and they will fill the glasses up. Maybe they... More

My husband and I have not been to this restaurant for some weeks and we are extremely sorry to report that the standard of the food as drastically went down. The fried rice and boiled rice was "claggy" and yucky !! The pieces of chicken in the sweett and sour dish I ordered where massive and chewy - not tender... More
