Went here on Saturday night, a large group of us from work to celebrate us leaving. We had phoned them about 4 times changing the numbers and they had been lovely about it. Got there and we had our own little section of the restaurant cornered off which was lovely. We arrived in dribs and drabs which they were lovely... More

I have been to Tai O on a couple of occasions. It looks quite un-promising both from outside and within; the decor is really rather tired - though, to be fair, I have seen this before in such establishments in small towns. The Sunday Buffet is a serve-yourself-eat-as-much-as-you-want affair. There were a couple of soups (including the ubiquitous 'chicken and... More

Went to Tai O for a birthday meal on Saturday night. Had to wait for others in the party to arrive but we're not hassled by the staff about their lateness. Most of us had the Tai O banquet and 1 had vegetarian options. The soup was hot and nice, the staters were all very tasty and the duck with... More

Normally go to the wok inn for a takeaway but this has closed so Tai O was recommended by friends. Used just eat to view the menu but phoned the order through and picked it up 45 mins later. On getting home one side was missing, 1 main was not right and the plain vermicelli noodles were spicy Singapore with... More

The food is good and the staff are helpful BUT the carpet is absolutely filthy. Sorry but it is really disgusting and makes you wonder about other hygiene issues

A really lovely and delicious meal. This restaurant looks a bit shabby from the outside, but don't let that put you off. We enjoyed every bit of the Noble Banquet on Friday evening. A treat on every course. Highly recommended - and I eat at Manchester China Town.

Our wedding anniversary is 20 years, so decided to treat ourselves to a Chinese as it's China - wanted something a little bit special - we were not disappointed. We had a lovely vegetarian takeaway with our daughter and every bit of it was eaten (not on the same night!!) Will certainly be going here again for a special meal.... More

Ate here early evening with my mother and friend pre Theatre Clwyd. They had a four course banquet for £ 10 . Usual Chinese soup and starters, then I had lamb and cashew nuts which was superb. Coffee or ice cream to finish. Very friendly and attentive service. I am quite fussy with Chinese ; find a lot mediocre. This... More
