good food good place

I went here last night for food and I had the quarter BBQ chicken it was juicy and the chips were nice. I enjoyed my meal and the hive is a lovely place to take in the view of the harbour.

On a recent holiday with family we had lunch in The Hive overlooking the quayside in Aberaeron. We had been unable to get in on the Saturday night without a booking but were accommodated for Sunday lunch. The staff were efficient and friendly and the quality of the food was outstanding. Well worth a visit but probably best to book... More

Visited here over bank holiday weekend and popped in during the morning to enquire about a table that evening and was told they were busy but could fit us in at either 5:30 or 8:30 so we chose the later option. On arrival, our table was still occupied but they said we could sit elsewhere until the table became free.... More

Ate here bank holiday Sunday, chose to sit outside with the menus and was told they would take drinks order from the table........ 20 mins later I went in to order drinks at the bar! Another 10 mins later or food order was taken. Food didn't take long to come out and was delicious. Such a shame about lack of... More

We only stopped for an ice cream on our walk along the harbour but the honey ice cream was amazing and definitely worth giving a taste! It's going to be hard to beat! Fantastic

Four of us had nice meals here today, three of us had the special which was a chorizo and pork burger when the other dish was lasagne. We all enjoyed the food very much although the lasagne was on the small side. It took too long for the staff to bring us the menus, but after that hiccup everything was fine.

We ate lunch here, in the courtyard, with our two Westies. The waiter was very helpful and brought water out for the dogs. The Chenin blanc was nicely chilled and our starters of mussels were very good. The hake was delicious and to finish off we went to the little kiosk at the front and had a honey ice-cream-mmm! We... I celebrated my 40 birthday with 17 of my closest friends and family on 1st of May! This evening was one to remember, with faultless food, drinks, entertainment and exceptional service!!! I could not fault it one bit! The welcome we all had was just as good as our food, this from a simple bread starter to home made burger... More

Both my wife and I had the lemon Sole. It was cooked to perfection and washed down with a very good bottle of Pinot Grigio.

As this is right on the harbour we thought it might be too touristy/ slow service/ basic but we were tired & thirsty so... we were delighted with the homemade burgers, hotdog sausage ( a real butchers one) & onions, superfood salad with cashews & toasted walnuts- scrumptious! Prompt and friendly service, a good range of ciders , good coffee... More
