the food is well priced and the srevice was good shame about the paper napkins go on the prices you charge for evening meals deserve linen napkins
Typical pub food with good portions. Helpful staff, but food can take some time to be served when a little busy. Reasonably priced house wine (Jack Rabbit @ £10.50p).
We always visit the Royal Oak when visiting Aberaron and we ate here twice during the May half-term week. On both occassions we were NOT disappointed. The food was excellent and the portions were big. The prices are comparable to other pubs in the area. The decor is quite old fashioned and could do with an update but the atmosphere... More
Food was good, wasnt cheap but when you enjoy it then it makes up for the cost, decor was the only let down, but dont be put off! Staff are friendly service good!
Visited over the weekend, the pub was extremely busy but the staff were still very helpful and the service great . My wife had the beer battered cod and I had the home made burger- both delicious, value for money in our opinion! Would defiantly visit again.
Aberaeron is the most idylic, picturesque fishing town. I'd recommend to all to have a lovely walk around the sea front and harbour, get the Easter air through your bones and then go and warm yourself with the lovely food and hospitality at the Royal Oak. The staff are wonderful and the food is beautiful, I will definately be going... More
Ate here with a party of people and was unfortunately disappointed. The food was warm and two people received there food so long after everyone else that they were starting as everyone else was finishing. It is also quite pricey for average meals. The staff however were lovely and I believe it would be a nice place to go if... More
Staff are always friendly and they have a good range of drinks. Food ranges from decent pub grub (albeit rather steeply priced) to absolutly dire, depending on the chef on the day. Atmosphere is lovely, always a few locals there to chat to, and a real fire to sit next to. Best place in Aberaeron for a cosy pint, but... More
