Went there whilst waiting to move into house. Food ok but basic but good value for money and service was good
Went on Monday 24th Feb, and as was half term decided to get in there early around noon. Place was already busy which created a nice atmosphere. Staff were really friendly and attentive without being OTT. The menu if eating in is a little overpriced for what you get - which is basically the same as if you were having... More
When in Abereron or passing through to Aberystwyth we stop here for chips. I Have eaten here over the years and never had a bad meal. Only sat in once as it's quite pricey but meal was large and tasty.restaurant clean and tidy very welcoming. We have take out and sit on the wall by the water. good size portions,... More
A few years ago this place was great, chips were nice and fresh and the gravy was just perfect. Then it all changed, instant gravy from a pack and soggy food that wasn't worth eating. What a shame.
Fish and chips and the scampi was nice but we felt it was over priced for what it was. Went back for the lasagne and wish we hadn't. It was very expensive for a flavourless bowl of very ground mince filled with as many large pieces of onion as there were pasta. Far too much cheese covered the top swimming... More

The fish and chips portions were very large, but the food was very tasty, warm and well presented. The only grumble i would have is that for a fish and chips shop it was quite... More
Saw the reviews for this and we were expecting it to be great. Sadly, for us it was just about ok. Both had Fish and Chips. Portions were large, and we thought good value, but chips were just slightly under done and fish was not very hot. As other people have said the place is quite clean, but the other... More
The New Celtic was clean & tidy, when we called you wouldn't think they had been trading all day, everywhere was spotless - a real credit to the management -, and the food was good too. Would we call again ?? most certainly.
Food was nice but the portions have shrunk and prices have increased. Shame as it was one of my favorite places. Greedy pricing not content with making a good living.!!!!
Our party of four stayed in Aberaeron for only two nights, but had three meals in The New Celtic Restaurant, and, as one of our group is a fussy eater, that is in itself a complement to them. It was nice to sit down at an eatery table in UK that didn't have a greasy surface. The meals were of... More
