Well worth the visit

Took my mother and daughter there for lunch on Saturday and was well impressed. Food was good, very tasty, large portions and reasonably priced - desserts were very, very good. Only downside was limited lunchtime menu. Good to have another good place to eat in the locality

Nice cup of tea, lovely cake, generous portion. Rustic pub with character. Clean loos. Ladies was upstairs. Checked menu for evening but thought prices too high for me to return for dinner.

While the tiny village of Ystradfellte may not have a name which is easy to pronounce, the New Inn, located right in the centre, is a fine stop for folks enjoying the local countryside. We stopped here after watching the sheepherding trials nearby, and had a wonderful lunch. Fish dishes are a particular specialty.

Found the inn by chance on Easter Sunday , we arrived early and secured the only non reserved table. Within a few mins it was full of pre booked groups. Food looked and smelt good, we had the roast lamb. Lots of vegetables and lamb that just melted. Could not manage pud so we bought home made cake to take... More

Called here on recommendation of Penderyn distillery to kill a bit of time before our tour. Liked the look of the food so asked if we could book a table for later which we did. On our return the pub was full after a short wait we were shown a table. Well worth it the beef was succulent and separate... More

We called for a Pint and snack in this Pub after a gruelling walk to the Eira Waterfalls..We did not expect the hike to see the stunning falls would be so energetic and although loved it there were unprepared with no packed lunch or drinks. On our way home we stopped at The New Inn and were made very welcome even... Lovely homely pub in a great location for walking. Crucially, they're very welcoming to walkers and provide something a bit different to refresh walkers who maybe aren't looking for a pint. Instead, they serve cream teas (in a nice cup and saucer) and homemade cakes. The websites don't tell you that the Forestry Commission charges £4 for car parking at... More

Recently had The New Inn recommended to us. We were in the area, so paid a visit for lunch. It was so quaint and se welcoming. The food was excellent and the owner so obliging, we felt as if we had known her for years. We will definitely go there again - in fact we have decided to stay in... More

Although we have visted before we have not been there for a while, however the food was lovely and the staff friendly and efficient. I noticed that they also served teas, cofee and... More
