I searched for Memphis style, slow smoked BBQ and hit the jackpot. I sampled pulled pork and smoked turkey sandwiches and both were outstanding. The food was served quickly along with seasoned fries and great homemade chips. I couldn't help myself and ordered to full racks of ribs to take home. Highly recommend!!

Best pulled pork sandwich I've had - topped with some cole slaw, some bbq sauce, on a soft white bun. Messy goodness! The beans were smoky with a hint of spiciness. Husband had a 1/2 rack of dry ribs and he said they were excellent. Order and pay at the front cash when you enter then find a table -... More

There was a guy helping people know where to park which was very helpful. We got there just in time with no line out the door! You go inside to place your order, get your drink and wait for your number to be called and someone brings your food. We sat under the covered patio with our small dog and... More

After trying many of the chain BBQ restaurants, we finally came across a local place. The food was great, definitely better than the chains. This is NOT a sit down restaurant. You order then find a table, had some outdoor seating too.

We got the recommendation to eat at Central BBQ from our hotel staff. It was a bit of the beaten path, but the food was good. Being a spicy food lover I opted for spicy BBQ on my pulled pork, but after tasting the original, I would say that was better. No true table service so you could go up... More

Started off my trip in memphis right with a trip to this bbq restuarant. It's a hole in the wall. I ordered the pork sandwich, which they ask if you want it with sauce and slaw. I said yes, I'm used to pickles, but I didn't ask. In addition, I had their hot wings "jerked". I inhaled both, the sandwich... More

Having been told by our guide that Crazy Corner Restaurant was the place to experience Memphis BBQ we were disappointed to find it closed for the July 4th Holiday. Lucky us! We discovered Central BBQ and enjoyed lunch and comfortable outdoor dining. We enjoyed a 1/2 Rib Plate and a 1/2 Pork Plate with chips and two draft beers. After... More

We tried two of the big names with not so good results. Central does not have the feel of the bigger BBQ places but had better food, in my humble opinion.

We thought we were in for an absolutely great meal and my sandwich was great, but the others did not care for theirs. The title of this review is exactly what they said after the meal. If you get the baked beans, which I always love and I did try them, be prepared for some heat....boy were they HOT! I... More
