Well worth the few miles out to Central St to the main location of the best BBQ in Memphis. The service is very efficient and the staff very friendly but on their game. Love the ribs and French fries. Has a security guard for the parking lot.

Order at the counter and go to your table and await your order. Informal and delicious. Local favorite. You may have a short wait to get a seat but it's worth it.

We stopped in Memphis for dinner on our Spring break trip to South Carolina. The BBQ was good...but not great. I don't think I'd go out of my way to eat here again.

I was told this was the best BBQ in Memphis - if it is - then Memphis BBQ is in trouble. Not that the place was not good - it was good (my review states "very good" because there is no "good" button. It is better than "average" for sure.) However, I was told that this place was one of... More

Their food is wonderful. The ribs literally fall off the bone. We had brisket and ribs and shared. Can't say which was better. Both were amazing! The chips are wonderful! Definitely get their sauces and seasonings. You can almost recreate their chips at home.

You don't go here for the atmosphere and I'd recommend you wear something that can be easily washed or even discarded once you've eaten here, but the fact is you will leave with succulent BBQ sauce all over you . . . and you will want to lick your clothing all night. The ribs are to die for, the pulled... More

We ordered ribs, chicken, & brisket. The brisket we had was oh sooo tender & yummy. We had both wet & dry ribs. LOVED them both. The chicken wasn't anything special. The potato chips were great (& I usually don't eat chips) I even bought a bag to take home (& some dry rub & sauce.) Note there are 2... More

While I'm not as big of a fan of Southern style barbecue (I prefer Texas brisket), I have only good things to say about Central BBQ. Just the right amount of spice. Awesome sides. Great iced tea, too!

While staying downtown we decided to go too Central BBQ (downtown location). With the high reviews and being on TV shows I thought we would get good barbeque. Boy was this place hit or miss. To start things off after we order and were given numbers (two separate orders) to get our food. When our numbers were called they try... More

We have tried other BBQ places all over the area but come back to Central BBQ. The pulled pork is tender and flavorful. The BBQ nachos addictive! Tried the grilled portobello mushroom sandwich but will not order again....will stick with the BBQ! The sides are tasty and the fried onion rings were fantastic. You definitely come here for good food.... More
