Good barbecue, funky place. Located next to National Civil Rights Museum. We liked it. Had the half dry half wet BBQ rack of ribs. Spouse preferred dry, I preferred wet. We both went away full and happy.

A QUAINT PLACE WITH ABSOLUTELY GREAT BBQ. The place was very busy but service was great. Vibrant, upbeat place with lots of beer on tap

Stopped here on our way home to KC. Being from KC we have access to some of the best bbq on the planet and I do prefer KC style to Memphis style BUT that being said this is the best bbq I've had in Memphis. Dry ribs are very good and the pulled pork sandwich was excellent. They have lots... More

We went to Marlowes and corkys. Don't bother with corkys, just go to central. We had the ribs wet, pulled pork sandwich, and half order of wings. The best bbq of our trip.

I had always been told that another place restaurant was the first place I should go, but the locals told me that Central BBQ should be my must see. The ribs and the pulled pork were both great. The location is easy to get to and I didn't have any issues with parking. They also have a decent choice of... More

Stopped in here for a quick bite on my way to the airport. Great pulled pork, awesome sauces to choose between, and the best peanut butter pie I've ever had. Full recommendations to all.

I'm a vegetarian and even I would be willing to come back because of the sheer deliciousness of their barbecue sauce. My husband had the brisket and loved it. The food is well crafted, and it is no surprise that this is a local favorite. The service was definitely sub-par (I was not even given a chance to order a... More

My family and I stopped at Central BBQ on our way home to Ohio, as we passed through Memphis. Best BBQ we have ever had! Brisket was tender and flavorful... Spot on! Pulled pork amazing too! Everyone cleaned their plate. Hands down best BBQ any of us had ever had. Very glad we stopped at Central BBQ!!! It's a must... More

Consistently excellent barbecue, be it pork, beef, chicken, platters or sandwiches. Be sure to try a variety of heat in their sauces. I LOVE the bite of chipotle in their Mac and cheese so much that I mail ordered their dry chipotle blend so I can add it to things I make at home. Their parking lot is small and... More

This has become one of our 2 favorite BBQ places in Memphis....so far. We had company over the Holidays, and were doing a driving tour of Memphis on a rainy day. Decided to stop and get take out here for dinner. The hard part was driving home over the next hour or so and smelling the BBQ in the back.... More
