Of all the times I have visited Memphis and indulged in some local BBQ (which is quite a few) Central BBQ's ribs are the best! I had a 1/2 rack of pork ribs which comes with two sides. I opted for collard greens and baked beans. The ribs were covered in a sauce that was tangy and sweet but balanced.... More

Not sure why this place is so popular. Just OK, not outstanding. Near the National Civil Rights Museum.

The food never disappoints here. I really enjoy the pulled pork and all the food I have had here on trips into town. I would have given a five star except on this trip, my guests half rack of ribs were really really dry and over cooked. My meal was fine :)

We chose this restaurant for our family reunion because they had a separate dining room available to seat our huge family of 100+ people. It turned out great. The restaurant provided drink stations in the room where we were seated so that we did not have to cross the very busy restaurant to refill teas and waters. It was very... More

My husband and I are from Texas and traveling to Chicago, we stayed one night in Memphis and wanted to sample the barbecue. Our air Bnb host recommended Central Barbecue. We were underwhelmed. On a scale from 1 to 10, ten being the best barbecue we've ever had, this place was a definite 6. The brisket and chicken didn't have... More

I will drive miles out of my way to get to Memphis and the wonderful dry-rub BBQ ribs they have. Luckily, I've spent time consulting in Memphis, which allowed me to sample the popular BBQ spots. And they are all good. Rendezvous is a celebrity in its own right. Porky's and the BBQ Shoppe are both great. But for just... More

We stopped after a long day of work. We ordered a ton of food, the BBQ Pork Nachos are a must I was very impressed. The Southern B's Beers are awesome. The Half rack of ribs were cooked perfect, the Mac N cheese was great and then to top if off the green beans were great.

It should be known that I am a fan of BBQ chicken so my review may differ from the pork lovers. I had a BBQ chicken salad. I was pleased to see the large amount of chicken but disappointed that it was cold and did not have any flavor. Suggestion to owner: please consider adding a spice rub and serving... More

We had lunch there. I had the ribs with greens and home made chips. The ribs and greens were excellent. Quick and friendly service and a good price to boot! Would gladly eat there again!
