Awesome

I love this place. When you walk in there are just lots of happy people that are glad to be there for this food. I was able to grab a window seat facing the sidewalk which was a lot of fun watching people. The food is great. I had four shrimp and one catfish fillet. It came with fries and... read more

Great food, fun atmosphere!! We even went on a Saturday night and had no trouble finding a table or getting our food quickly! Loved it!

Although the staff are complete idiots the food is good. The Zombie working the register seemed to be half stoned and half I don't give a crap. But I come here for the fried shrimp and the hush puppies, thats it. I told the person (who hardly spoke english) behind the counter that they were out of sweet tea and... More

My boyfriend and I were looking for a late night dinner to eat where we hoped the Final Four basketball game would also be playing. Thankfully, after choosing the Flying Fish in downtown Memphis, we saw that the came was on more than one corner. The restaurant was closing in 20 minutes but the men working the kitchen told us... After not being thrilled with the food scene on Beale Street, we decided to try Flying Fish. Great choice!!! The food was delicious, well prepared, and reasonably priced. My husband loved their gumbo and grits and I devoured the red snapper, red beans and rice, and grilled zucchini/squash. Lots of great choices on the menu, cooked up right before you... More

My girls and I enjoyed dinner with friends at the Flying Fish last night. It's a great place with a wide variety of seafood and side item choices. My sister said her fried oyster po-boy was to die for - even though some say not to eat oysters in June! We had the grilled tilapia tacos - simply delicious. They... More

After a long day of touring, and trying to find a quick cheap place to eat we stumbled in to the Flying Fish. Let me say, that what Memphis is to good barbeque, this place is to fried fish. needless to say, i was raised on Al's in Chicago, and we have wonderful places in Sarasota FL, but this place... More

Enjoyed the Fried Talapia special. It included hush puppies and two sides, I had the coleslaw, which was very good and the pickled tomatoes, which were unusual and good. Two filets were served, a bargain and quick lunch service. I really wanted to try the BBQ shrimp because I thought they were served New Orleans style, but these are Memphis... More

This was a great restaurant just across from the Peabody where we stayed. The fish had an excellent grilled flavor and the beans and rice were top notch.

Went to eat there before the show at the Orpheum. After finding a parking spot, this is the place we decided to eat at. The food was good, the atmosphere was cozy and fun. We ate in the front part of it, and had lots of room at the table. The food was excellent that everybody got and I especially... More
