Love The Flying Fish!!

If you like fried seafood then, don't miss the Flying Fish. Great food, hush puppies and lots of variety. I'm a shrimp and catfish person and knowing I'm a long way from the ocean, this is a great place to get my fill! Don't do fried? No problem, they have grilled and broiled fish too. Fresh great food. Good assortment of fried, boiled, and grilled fish, shrimp, and oysters. Been to the one in Fort Worth and expected a great lunch and is one didn't disappoint.

We had the daily special of Tilapia and also some fried catfish. Both were really good, along with the hushpuppies and green beans. They have a good selection of beers as well. Service was okay.

This is the place to be on Sunday as they sell oysters for 75 cents each and they are excellent. Not to big of a place but thoroughly enjoyed my oysters!

Let's just start by saying that one does not go to Memphis for the food! Most of what we had when we were here was pretty pedestrian and some of it barely edible, so we were really glad to happen on the Flying Fish. It's a big, casual restaurant, right downtown. You order at the counter and have your food... More

Nice to have a healthier option in this land of the deep fryer. Grilled catfish, grilled zucchini, red beans and rice.

I popped in for a quick lunch and found that the menu was limited and the prices were a bit steep for what was offered. The food was ok, a bit bland but the atmosphere was nice. The restaurant is located downtown within walking distance to Beale St. and other attractions.

My wife and I had dinner here and we had a good time. Nice Mexican Family-run place and many seafood choices! I had Shrimp Ka-bobs and gumbo (everyone in Memphis makes their gumbo a little bit differently) and my wife enjoyed some fried catfish. They have a lot of interesting stuff on the walls and it seems to be a... More

FF is a classic no frills fish house with great seafood, red beans & rice, and hush puppies. If you want fancy and high prices, go somewhere else. I'd eat their lightly breaded catfish and shrimp every day at the FF, sitting at the counter looking at the Peabody Hotel across the street with the garage door wiindows open and... More
