It is a local place right downtown with counter order and they deliver your food. If you like good seafood - go here. You can get your fish fried, grilled or however you want it. The veggies that come along side are also grilled and wonderful. My husband had so much food but ate it all. He had calamari, a... More

This was our first catfish experience and was really good. It is very cheap as you go up to the counter yourself and collect your food when it is ready. We had fried catfish and shrimp with fries and hush puppies. We loved the look of the place as the walls are decorated with hundreds of Big Mouth Billy Basses... More

What a unique place that serves really great good. Second time here and I can't wait for the next time I can stop back. From the food to the stuff on the wall to the open air seating, this place is a gem

I actually didn't want to get searched by the police, nor, spend $10 to enter famous Beale Street. That was such a hugely popular destination at night for tourists, and if I want to spend time with tourists - I'll hang out in airport lounges. Meaning, I was hungry and desperate for a reasonably-priced meal for dinner that wasn't fried,... More

A self serve type place so you get to eat a delicious meal and maybe be a bit light on tips. Loved the atmosphere.

We had the grilled catfish ($10.49) which was fresh and tasty. It came with grilled zucchini and yellow squash and delicious red beans and rice (see photo). On the side we ordered spinach and cole slaw which are only $1.99 each and also tasted good. The tap beer comes in big, heavy 20 ounce goblets ($3.75). The Flying Fish is... More

Like an old seaside fish shack, this place is simple, but offers a nice mix of seafood.....from shrimp to salmon to cat fish. Get it grilled or fried. Side options include grilled veg, rice or fries. Hush puppies are good. Check out the Mexican cocktail....a spicy version of a shrimp cocktail. Love this place when I'm looking for something casual... More

We went to the Flying Fish and enjoyed a nice dinner. I had the catfish fillet dinner that came with fries and hush puppies. It was very good, crunchy and hot. We ordered at the counter when we came in and they gave us a buzzer to alert us when food was ready for us to come back to pick... More

Unique atmosphere with excellent grilled vegetables and seafood. Very casual restaurant with lots of cool pictures on the wall of patrons with the fish they have caught. There is a very large menu selection of both fried and grilled options to choose from and the food is reasonably priced. I had the grilled red snapper which was served with red... More

Dinner in the flying fish was fantastic. Catfish fillet with fries and corn. You order like a takeaway and then they bring it to your table.
