This is not a fancy place, you go and order up at the counter and the choices are basic but the food is very good (fried food). I had the fried oysters with cole slaw and my gal had shrimp kabobs, rice and beans. Great basic food, loved it, with a cold beer.

Would eat here again in a heartbeat. If you like fish, it is a great place to eat. I didn't like the gumbo so much, but everything else was great. Next time I will get the grilled squash instead of gumbo.

This is a great place. Don't expect to be waited on, this is a wait in line, order at the counter, get your pager and pick up your food kind when it is ready of place. It is busy and bustling, but the food is great. I was there on a nice evening in March and they had the open... More

The Flying Fish offers great food at a good price. Their gumbo is excellent as is their baked fish with two vegetables.

We visited this place to break up all the rib dinners. It was casual, low-key and perfect for what we wanted. The basket of catfish & shrimp was delicious. It was a fairly decent sized filet of fish, 4 big, butterfly shrimp, fries and hush puppies. It was pretty inexpensive as well. It tasted good and I have no complaints.... More

My husband and I ate there based on trip advisor reviews and were not disappointed. We had well seasoned , non-greasy fried catfish, oysters and shrimp and a tasty salad.

Fun place to eat. The portions are very big with decent prices. I went twice. I found everything that was fried had a very strange taste that i cant really described. I dont know if its the kind of batter, the oil or something else. Because of this half way through my meal i couldn't finish and i always finish....... More

This was my second visit to the flying fish. The shrimp po-boys are really good. The jalapeno chips are definitely good to try. They are not spicy as most would think which was a pleasant surprise. The winner of everything i have tried was the Shrimp Ka-bobs. The hush puppies are a MUST and are so addicting! On my first... More

I passed this place on Second St and saw that they had fried oysters. That was the draw but after reading a review on Tripadvisor that the coating was cornmeal and that they had hushpuppies to die for, I was determined to grab dinner there. I started with an order of 6 fried oysters that came with a couple of... More
