good food, good atmosphere

Good place for ribs; music was not too loud so you could actually talk. We split the full rack between the two of us, and were plenty full. Enjoyable.

Good food, good band, good service, and good prices. I've had ribs all over the country and these are the best! A solid band plays every night and there's a dance floor. The servers were friendly and attentive, overall a great choice!

We were here last night 4th of July and then this afternoon and both visits were awesome!! Sunday has an old time orchestra, I can't even tell you how many pieces but they will not disappoint!!! Just try it out and you will be sold! Best of all our bartenders Athena and Brandon best of the best!! I am partial... More

Stopped in at Alfred's as part of the Taste of Downtown food tour (another great attraction in Memphis!). Our guide ordered up a couple plates of BBQ nachos, and boy were they delicious. Typical nachos with cheese, then add pulled pork and cover with BBQ sauce (a little on the sweet side). These are excellent!

Me and my husband ate here on a slow Thursday night... we ordered nachos, cheese platter and a bacon cheeseburger. The nachos and the bacon cheeseburger where so disgusting we couldn't even eat it. We sit on the roof top and had a new waiter which was nice. I would NEVER EVER recommend this place. Worst on beale street.

The food was not terrible, but it wasn't good either. We had the ribs, and they were okay. Our server was friendly but never brought eating utensils - I had to go to the kitchen and get them myself. The beer and wine were warm in little plastic cups. There was an orchestra, and many people were dancing and enjoying... More

Went in to alfreds for dinner. Not fancy by any means. We ordered the philly steak and roast beef poboy. They were delicious. The french fries were excellent. I was surprised to read the negative reviews. We were very pleased and glad we didn't read the reviews before we went in. Next time we will eat on the outside upper... More

Went to Alfred's on a very busy weekend for downtown Memphis and especially Beale so when my husband and I walked in with another couple we expected to wait and we didn't have a problem with this. We asked to sit on the rooftop, which was full so we were sat in a corner in the back with maybe 6... More

Our dinner at this popular eatery was included as part of an escorted tour. Apart from the food falling short of my expectations, I was appalled by truly horrific service. Info about my wife’s food allergy was relayed to the restaurant in advance, but unfortunately this got overlooked. When she asked a server to substitute a different salad dressing, he... More

Of all the places to eat on Beale Street, we chose the wrong one by going to Alfred's. It was extremely quiet & we were served straight away. The server was really nice but the food certainly wasn't. I had the salmon which was very bland and dry and my husband had the ribs which were just ok. I told... More
