Found it on a Food Network review and wanted to try real Memphis BBQ. We are from Kansas City, the capital of BBQ, and this one missed the mark. Sauce was 'scratchy' and ribs were small. GREAT BISCUITS!!

Being from Kansas City I'm not easily impressed with BBQ when I'm on the road however I have to confess their food is absolutely great; meat smoked to tender perfection and a variety of sauces to satisfy different tastes. We had ribs, pulled pork, sweet potato fries, cole slaw (one of the very best I've ever had) and excellent iced... More

I've lived in Memphis almost 4 years and this is my first time eating at Leonard's. The atmosphere was nostalgic and the waitress was pleasant. The buffet looked good, but since it was my first time I decided to play it safe and ordered the pulled pork sandwich from the menu. I got the "small" portion and it was still... More

We started off sharing the BBQ bologna sandwich and honey apples. The bologna is about a half inch thing topped with BBQ sauce and put onto a traditional hamburger bun. OMG. If you haven't had this try it. I'll never eat thin sliced bologna again. The honey apples taste like home made apple sauce but the sliced apples are still... More

We have never been to Leonard's for the buffet so we thought we'd try it. It was very good for mass serving but no where near as good as other well known Memphis places. They served all the usual stuff and it was good but, not enough to go back for another trip.

Title says it all! BBQ Buffet, pretty good selection, ribs, pulled pork and out of this world catfish! Good selection of sides, the greens are to die for. You can also order off the menu.

After living close to Memphis almost continuously since 1964, I have to admit that we had never eaten at the landmark Leonard's Pit BBQ http://www.leonardsbarbecue.com/ until last week! We were in that area picking up some parts. Well, we fell in love w/Leonards! They offer a wonderful lunch buffet that includes their delicious ribs, both wet and dry, on certain... More

They also had a buffet one of the group tried -- very complete! The sticky sauce on theribs was incredible and the bark on the ribs -- outstanding. Great flavor. I met the owner on a prior trip -- he had worked for Leonard since a youn kid and now owns it -- his life devotion to great BBQ shows!

So much good food at the lunch buffet. Including their famous ribs. Also had pot roast and many other tasty foods at the buffet.
