Tasty Soul Food

Yum! Fried chicken, turnip greens, and yams served in a friendly place. The Four Way is worth a stop every time we visit Memphis, or are driving through.

I had the catfish(two filets), cabbage, and broccoli with cheese. It was very good. Add a sweet tea to that and it was $11.xx. Food was hot and tasty. Owner was very nice. I would go back when in the area.

Food was excellent. Greens were done well as was the catfish. Corn pone was fresh. Nothing complicated, but very authentic. Reminded me of my grand uncles down in Mississippi when I was a child.

It says 'soul food' outside and that's exactly what you get inside. Don't let the dated interior put you off. It's full of locals and there's a reason for that. You must try the yams(sweet potatoes) I'm not sure what they so to them but my god they're tasty!!

I was visiting Memphis in January 2015 to check out the music scene and music museums, and an article in the New York Times had recommended this restaurant. I was a solo tourist visiting the restaurant on a Sunday at 1pm, dressed in khaki pants and a jeans jacket. Almost all the regular patrons were dressed for church with suit... More

Passing through Memphis, and after reading all the reviews, stopped in about 5:30 p.m. on Oct. 8, 2014. Three employees, and the older lady at the desk stared at us, we smiled waiting to be seated, but no one ever seated us. Finally, the waiting and stare-down became uncomfortable, so we left. Very odd!

Great lunch stop after visit to the Stax Museum. We were made to feel very welcome and all enjoyed the food. Portion sizes are very generous, my liver was a huge piece and very reasonably priced. Martin Luther King Jnr dined there when campaigning in Memphis...

This restaurant is an easy drive from the Stax Records Museum. It has wonderful history with the music industry in the area. You are greeted cheerfully when you come in and the food is the most amazing Southern Soul Food! I highly recommend this restaurant to round off your visit to Memphis. Enjoy!!!

Add this place to your list of restaurants to visit in Memphis. The food was great and our server Malcolm and the other 2 waitresses did a great job trying to keep up with 45 people! Thanks to Rosylyn for organinizing everything. This was my second time visiting Four Way and you didn't disappoint.
