If the bacon wrapped shrimp is the only menu item worth ordering here. And although it tastes wonderful and filling as well, it's very greasy. But I've tried the lobster tamales, various taco combinations which are fair at best. Make a decent drink and the staff is pleasant to deal with too.

The place has gone, in the last year, from just barely average, to a beer joint serving what I call "yuppie Mexican" food, not Mexican food. Even with that, the food is barely average. I will say the servers were great, but I go to a place mainly for the food.

We lived in Midtown back around ten years ago and use to eat here fairly often. I'll admit I had not been here in many, many moons and heard that it had changed a lot. We went on a Wednesday night and here is my take on it. The outside looks the same but the interior is much more open... More

We sat outside on the patio under a hug tree. They atmosphere was very pleasant. They had a lady on a small stage with a guitar that sang beautifully. We ordered the 100 ounce beer for our table. It was very good. We will defiantly return to this location again.

Cafe Ole has changed in the last year for the better. Menu has good variety and not your everyday tex-mex selections. You can have quesdillas your way, tell them what combination you want. Lobster tamales are great as well as blue crab salad. Drink specials on the weekends. Love the frozen strawberry margarita's. Taste like fresh strawberry's with a hint... More

This place has done a complete 360 from a year ago. The new management has really turned things for the better. Love the good and drinks. Great music is always playing and some of the best local bands play here.

Stopped by Saturday afternoon, the area was dead and this was the only restaurant with any action. Mexican with a Memphis twist, avocado French fries? They seem to cater to drinkers, with 48 oz beer bongs, huge margaritas, etc., but it was fun. Jonathan was very nice, interesting and loves his job.

We were there on a Sunday afternoon, it was busy with people enjoying the outside patio and having drinks at bar, the food was wonderful you should try the bacon wrapped shrimp appetizer... We had excellent service. Can't wait to go back.

It had been awhile since I last ate here & I had a craving for something spicy SO I went there already knowing what I wanted to eat. Because My Fav Mexican restaurant in Memphis doesn't have a dish on their menu like this. So although I cant brag on the service I did enjoy the dish I ordered. And... More
