Stopped by Saturday afternoon, the area was dead and this was the only restaurant with any action. Mexican with a Memphis twist, avocado French fries? They seem to cater to drinkers, with 48 oz beer bongs, huge margaritas, etc., but it was fun. Jonathan was very nice, interesting and loves his job.

We were there on a Sunday afternoon, it was busy with people enjoying the outside patio and having drinks at bar, the food was wonderful you should try the bacon wrapped shrimp appetizer... We had excellent service. Can't wait to go back.

It had been awhile since I last ate here & I had a craving for something spicy SO I went there already knowing what I wanted to eat. Because My Fav Mexican restaurant in Memphis doesn't have a dish on their menu like this. So although I cant brag on the service I did enjoy the dish I ordered. And... More

We used to enjoy Cafe Ole but had not been in quite a while. I suggested to a friend that we go to lunch there since they recently remodeled. There were two tables of customers other than us but our service was still very slow and inattentive. My friend had to ask to have her water refilled. The food was... More

We really want everything in Cooper Young to do well, and it was a little sad to see how weak this new incarnation is. Our food was just OK. You had to order rice separately, and it was VERY ordinary. Service was OK. We just don't see any reason to return.

Only a couple years ago cafe ole was THE place for cheap booze & fantastic margaritas. I cannot even count the number of nights I've stumbled home from cafe ole- granted the food was so-so, but, the reason you came was for the drinks & fantastic patio. After it was sold- last year- I refused to go back- knowing that... More

Heard they had a new owner....place was going back to it's roots...they got a long way to go. Ordered Chicken fajita's. For $11, it was disappointing. The quac was dark and not fresh. Looked like it was made yesterday. Looks like the beans came out of a can. Chicken was tasty, but nothing special. If food is your priority and... More

I have eaten here several times & although I really like the food the service is nothing I would brag on. But on a positive note if you like really spicy food like I do they you have to try the Shrimp Diablo OMG that is what eat most every time I eat here (since My fav mex rest does... More

We went there last week and had a pretty good experience. The menu has changed slightly. Non mexican items have pretty much been removed but that kind of makes sense. Prices haven't changed with the new menu and the $5 that they have been charging to park for awhile they now take off of your tab. Overall we enjoyed our... More
