My family and I go for breakfast sometimes, it's really good and a great value! It's a very small place and tends to be very busy, and the staff isn't very friendly. That is why I am not going to say great, however I do like the pancakes and the sausages and cheese omelet very much.

Classic! Old fashioned southern, country menu with home made biscuits and corn bread. You can't miss the yellow building with blue awnings on Poplar. The parking lot is crowded, but don't get frustrated as there is more parking behind/on the side of the building. The decor is cottage-y with bright colors, chair rails and art and memorabilia adorning the walls.... More

I just ate breakfast here at the recommendation from the hotel front desk clerk. The building has history and seems to be pretty popular with the locals.i found the food good but slightly overpriced. Huge portions! I could not finish it all. Overall a nice place with southern charm!

This is a neat little cafe. The place was packed at lunch time but we did not have to wait. My husband had the fried bologna sandwich with fries and I had sides: yellow squash (special), turnip greens, green beans and white beans. We had lemonade and tea. Everything was really good. The server was friendly and helpful. Great old... More

A cute, friendly cafe with unbelievably delicious biscuits and gravy. My family had ham, grits, eggs and pancakes as well-everything was tasty and reasonably priced. Go!

Great place to eat. We had breakfast and couldn't believe how much food! We should have shared a plate. They pay attention to the little details like warming the syrup for the pancakes. Awesome sweet tea. I'm picky about my tea. It has to be a certain color, clearness, and sweetness. Theirs was beautiful. Biscuits were big and light with... More

We walked over here from the hotel and they had changed their hours to 8am, so we walked around and came back about 10 minutes after their opening time and the restaurant was already half full. Believe me, worth the wait. Starts with the best biscuits ever, light and fluffy and baked on premises, and served with sawmill gravy. Then... More

The restaurant is across from a lovely park/square. Great location and an easy walk from the Beale Street area. I had chicken fried steak, eggs and hash browns. The service was great. The food was seasoned to perfection and I'd definitely have chicken fried steak with the pepper gravy again. $25.00 for 2 of us for breakfast.

I've heard about this place and had to try it. I love breakfast and the wait was not too long. I would say the food was typical for breakfast, not real special. They did have some unique pancake choices that looked promising. My omelet was average along with the regular pancakes. Prices were good.
