Had a great experience eating here. Everything was exceptional and those biscuits were heavenly. Will be back and bringing friends...so good. Service was attentive and such happy smiles on all the faces. Pancakes were wonderful, too! You have to try this darling place, soon.

A country-esque cafe Overlooking Court Square and just off Main St this is a convenient location for lovers of the BIG breakfast. I didn't find the front desk overly welcoming but the young waitress was lovely so made up for the dissappointing first impressions. The extensive breakfast menu comes in a newspaper mock-up. Between the 3 of us we had... More

Having "pigged-out" several times a Corky's, I drove a short distance along Poplar and found the Blue Plate Cafe. Decor was "country" and quite pleasant. Menu was pretty much what one might expect from a country diner. Food was OK. Prices were not excessive. But the overall impression was one of "average".

Nice selection of omelets, waffles, and breakfast meats. Ordered a ham special which came with a half plate filing ham slice, two eggs, has browns and biscuits and gravy. Doggy bagged about half. An order of eggs, hash browns, bacon, biscuits and gravy was a plate cleaning delight as was my waffle with southern pecans. Coffee cups were a little... More

The Blue Plate Cafe used to be *the place* to go for breakfast in Memphis. Unfortunately, over the last couple of years it has really gone downhill (at least at this location). On our most recent visit, the restaurant was dirty and in a general state of disrepair: seat cushions were torn, paint is scratched and worn, and the restaurant... More

Delicious breakfast served at the Blue Plate Cafe. The food was good (large portions!) and he service was quick and friendly. The cafe is only open until mid-afternoon so go for breakfast or lunch.

French Country atmosphere with light blue, yellow, white décor. Eggs Benedict was awesome, homestyle hash browns were very tasty. Would have rated it 5 star had my husband not noticed a roach crawling on the table--thank goodness we had already finished our meal!

Excellent breakfast menu served all day. Biscuits are fresh and fluffy. Eggs, bacon and ham cooked to order. Artwork for purchase scatters the walls of this quaint little spot. Friendly staff made for a very pleasant end to our visit to Memphis. Cute, cute, cute.
