Recommended by another establishment, it was a great experience. Large portions, great service, and yummy gumbo and ribs. Open late, it caters to all people, and the value of what you get is unbeatable, especially for being on Beale St

We tried both the café and the bar over the course of a couple of nights and both of them were amongst the best of our Beale Street experiences. We had an excellent night listening to Earl the Pearl playing the blues with his excellent band, it was very fun and atmospheric. Food wise I had the Catfish plate, it... More

As part of a BBQ weekend in Memphis me and a friend tried out Blues City and really enjoyed it. We both got the ribs and found them to be excellent. I got an extra side of BBQ sauce to dunk the meat in since it literally falls off the bone, I suggest others do the same because that sauce... More

I was told to go here for the catfish plate. It was delicious! It was also so huge I could not eat it all. The price point was very inexpensive too. Friendly staff. Great late night eats spot.

My first experience with Memphis BBQ ribs was Ok but not amazing. Came with sauce on which masks good flavour but they were tender and moist.

We had a combo (cannot remember the name) where you got catfish and ribs. It was tasty and delicious. The staff were friendly and service was good. The food came out within 10mins. Would recommend.

After a few too many drinks on Beale St we came here to have some greasy food. We enjoyed our meals and they helped sober us up very quickly. My friend had a burger, my husband the HUGE steak and shrimp + cheese drowned fries and I had the sausage and cheese platter. The platter was great!

I'm sure most people go here for bbq and southern food, but for me I must have the marinated salad. It's really just a simple green salad, but the marinade is so delicious (and addictive). It's a light lemon garlic parmesan cheese mix and the flavors are spot on mixed together like that. It's a great break from all the... More
