I went here just a few days ago, had the catfish and ribs combo. You get a lot of food for the price. the baked beans were very good. The catfish was good too. I was a little disappointed in the barbecue ribs-they weren't anything to brag about. I am an avid rib eater and these ribs were very typical.... More

There are so many places to eat in Memphis. I think you should try as many as possible and form your own opinions. For me, this place was good. The food was good and the prices were decent. It IS a littttttle on the shabby side inside and my travel buddies were hesitant to eat here. It looks like it... More

I recently went back home to visit family in Memphis for the first time in quite a while. I'll be the first to admit I'm a life long Corky's fan. On this day though we found ourselves on Beale and BBQ was beckoning me into her sweet sticky fingered embrace. My sister,a life long Memphian, led me to this dive... More

Loved the atmosphere of Beale Street reminded me of a mini New Orleans and bourbon street. Staff were friendly and I sat next to the kitchen so I watch the food be prepared and played. I had turnip greens to start. I don't usually like them, but these were terrific. Of course ribs were next which were excellent. Great value... More

This was our first taste of Memphis ribs and we loved them. I also highly recommend taking the combo plate so you also get a taste of their catfish. YUMMM!

Their ribs actually fall off the bone! Very tender and delicious! Best meal we had in Memphis and the restaurant is easy to find on the corner of Beale and Second St.

had a late lunch here and the ribs were very good.... NOT great in my book as i do not especially like the fall off the bone style here... but if this is the style of ribs you like.... you have the right place... great feel inside.... service was just okay though... the waiter had no personality.. he was competent... The Blues City Cafe seats at the corner of Beale St and 2d Street, very conveniently located in the most fun part of the city. It does not look much from the outside but as soon as you step in you're taken back in time in a 50s/60s diner with funky memorabilia on the walls. The music (rock n roll... More
