On September 18th 2014 I chose to bring friends and family to what was one of my favorite places to eat and celebrate my 60th birthday. This old reliable place has been a regular gathering place for me for many years dining there a tleast 6-8 times a year. But this night it was just plain awful. Service bad, food... More

I make it to Dino's about every three months. This is run by Rudy Grisanti, son of Dino, the founder, and member of a large family of restauranteurs. It is a small place, near Rhodes College and Snowden school. Furnishing are old. Place is decorated with Italian picture postcardsand posters. There is a side room of WWII memorabilia - uniforms,... Authentic Italian food in Memphis doesn't get any better than this. Order the dozen ravioli and ask for the good garlic bread. Fettuccini Alfredo is also perfect. It is a hole in the wall but in a decent area of town. Also much cheaper than Italian-American chain restaurants. Avoid those and eat here.

If you are looking for smart decor, fashionable ambiance, uniformed servers, scenic view you need to go somewhere else. Dino's is an old neighborhood family restaurant that has been around since at least the 50's. Yes, the booths have holes, the servers are nice young people, there is on the street parking. However, if you want generous servings of tasty... More

one of those places that someone should tell Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives about. It is sure nothing to look at that's for sure. All of the booths actually have rips in the seats! On the other hand that just might tell you just how many people have eaten here over the years! There is a reason for that. The best... More

I'm lucky to have two restaurants on my block and that Dino's is ONE OF THEM! I typically don't keep a buncha salad fixin's on hand, and why bother when you can get a great chef salad, huge and reasonably priced......right across the street, baby! My husband's addicted to their Italian Beef Sub-Sandwich, and we both like to pop in... More

Although I have lived in Memphis and it's environs for more than half my life, I had never heard of Dino's until I went there with friends on Thursday night. The three guys in our group got the all-you-can-eat spaghetti; the two females got lasagna (that was me.) We all got Italian salads. Everyone liked the salad, but I found... More

My first time at Dino's was a delight. Our luncheon group found this unpretentious family-owned restaurant just the perfect spot to enjoy a delicious Italian meal. Most of us ordered the ravioli with meat or butter-garlic sauce and a side of Italian spinach or a salad. All was served with large "Texas-Toast" style bread slices and the taste of garlic... More
