At Gus's we're all about the food! Gus's restaurants are low-key with a southern flare where you will hear soulful classics emitting from the jukebox. Many people call Gus's a "blues-infused southern eatery." At Gus's World Famous Fried Chicken we focus on the chicken! We begin by using quality chicken which is treated to our special preparation techniques before being marinated in our proprietary batter. Once it's properly fried to a crisp golden-brown, we serve it up with a plate full of southern inspired sides and a cold beer or sweet tea. The result? Customers line up at our door before we're even open!

Yum

Everything I heard about it was true. Fantastic chicken. A friend picked it up and brought it to my hotel. Carried out well. Still nice and crispy upon arrival. Very different style. Not heavily breaded. Yum.

The chicken here is spicy!!! It's a slow and continued burn. The spiciness wasn't too much for me, but may be overwhelming for children. Chicken was great though. I ended up ordering another piece after I finished my meal just to enjoy the flavor some more. Prices were reasonable. I had fried green tomatoes as well. They were delicious, but... More

I'm not a huge fan of fried chicken, but this is really good stuff. The biggest issue I have is the seating. They will put a single person at a huge table alone instead of putting that one person at an empty seat with a group, or at least make that person wait for a smaller table Now, I understand... More

My exchange student wanted to eat all his meals here. He said it was the best chicken he had ever eaten.

We had read the reviews and had been told by our shuttle driver that Gus' was the place to go for chicken! And it certainly is! There is a wait, give your name at the door and queue but it's surely worth it! It's not expensive and you get more than enough. It's really tasty and would definitely recommend to... More

Best chicken EVER! Very casual, old-fashioned inside. Terrific sweet tea and slaw. Their fried pickles are spears, in KY, I've only had chips. Avoid actual lunch hour. Long wait! Very small inside.

These folks sure do know how to cook terrific fried chicken. Young, tender fryers were coated with spicy batter then fried to perfection. We entered the restaurant shortly after it opened, were seated immediately and served promptly. By the time we left, the line of customers waiting for a table was lengthy, which I understand is the norm. This place... More
