My family and I were looking for a good way to start our last day in Memphis. Brother Junipers was on our way from our hotel to our destination and we had our sights set on it. The wait was estimated to be 45 minutes on the Saturday before Easter. We knew that anywhere else would most likely be just... More

One of the most creative breakfast spots we eaten in. Unique entrees skillfully prepared. One senses the influence of the university in the crowd of diners. Wait staff was excellent.

One of my favorite breakfasts out ever. The food was fresh, delicious and plentiful. The service was great. The restaurant has a great, casual vibe -- full of all sorts of people. We went there with the Memphis friends we were visiting because it's one of their favorite spots. It'd be a favorite for everyone in my family too if... More

We really enjoyed our breakfast here. The service was very good, and the menu offerings were far above the usual fare. Our impression was that each dish was freshly prepared. We had the open-faced Mexican omelette, and bacon and eggs. They did not disappoint. The toast and jam were especially nice. We could see why Brother Juniper's is a Memphis... More

Our daughter and son-in-law took us to Brother Junipers for breakfast on a leisurely Sunday morning. Thank goodness they know their way around, I would have never found it. The raspberry mocha was one of the best!!!! And I had the Mama Lil's special. An open faced omelet topped with wonderful home fries, roasted red peppers, spinach and smoked salmon.... More

All the on line reviews I read raved about it, but......I dunno, .... sometimes the expectation outweighs the reality. First off, I ate solo and when I arrived the hostess was busy inside the restaurant, and I basically stood there like a fish out of water for at least five minutes. Bad start! I finally grabbed a server and asked... More

I went to Memphis State University back in the 80s and I'm so sad I never knew this place was right next door to the Tiger Bookstore. What a great, small, "hole in the wall" place with some of the best staff and EXCELLENT food! We had the Denver omelet, cheesy grits, and my wife had the special #2 (eggs,... More

Wow! Worth the wait for sure! Went on a Sunday morning and had to wait 45 minutes. Enjoyed the coffee bar. I had the veggie omelet and hash browns. My husband had the hungry tiger. We ordered the "special pancake" which was to die for. It was a cinnamon roll pancake which had probably 2000 calories, but worth every bite!

we ate there for breakfast and the place was packed. The claim is the best breakfast in Memphis. I had the chorizo burrito and the chorizo was not spicy. It was bland and the salsa was ok. The grits are watery and average. However the bread and jam are absolutely delicious. The coffee is strong and hot. I would not... More
