Went there for diner on a friend recommendation's. The homemade pate was real good, meaty and flavorful. Had a great dish of fish to follow. All was fresh, well cooked and the service attentive whilst not over done. Will be going back. Dessert were tempting and I will try on my next visit.

The salmon dish during dinner and the egg benedict during brunch are by far the best in the city. Wonderful atmosphere and great service.

Have been here quite a few times now and every experience gets better. Most have been two to four people and once with a supper club of 12. Great service every time. Inexpensive bottles of wine are a hit. I must admit I am a French Bistro fan. Mussels in white wine are excellent, arugula salad is my favorite anywhere.... More

Eat here based on recommendations, but it was not as good as told. French onion soup was good, but the duck was over cooked and the sauce was a balsamic sauce instead of the orange sauce on the menu. Veal piccata was tough and average. Carrot and ginger soup was good. Overall, it could have been better.

We went for Sunday Brunch before heading to the Orpheum Theater and we were not disappoint in the menu choices. My husband ordered the grilled ham and cheese sandwich which he said was the best he has ever had. This was not the usual ham & cheese. I had the hamburger which was wonderful and the crispy shoestring potatoes added... More

I'm originally from the MS Gulf Coast but in my 4th year as a Memphian. I can be quite a snob about seafood given where I grew up. Cafe 1912 definitely knows what they're doing...with everything, not just seafood. The mussels are one of the best things on the menu. The pan-seared grouper with the risotto is absolutely fantastic -... More

If you're looking for simple, well prepared French influenced bistro food in Memphis - Cafe 1912 is your best bet. Prices are reasonable. The wine list is VERY reasonable and staff and service are exceptional. I eat there at least twice a month and recommend it to anyone who asks.

Cafe 1912 is a casual midtown Memphis bistro with an open kitchen featuring a French inspired menu. The tables are a little close, but the food is good and the prices are reasonable.

It'd been quite a few years since I'd been to Café 1912 but it was always a favorite back then. I went recently to celebrate my boyfriend's birthday - he had never been to Café 1912. Well, by the way he 'drank up' the broth from the mussel appetizer we ordered, I knew he liked it...ALOT! Everything is wonderful at... More
