Excellent Brunch!

This is a real beauty shop that has been turned into a restaurant. The seating is quaint, with the old helmet style hairdryer chairs still in use, and the block glass walls are just lovely. The menu is probably a little odd if you are not a Southerner - like watermelon and wings - but that's actually one of my... More

Intrigued by the reviews, we thought we'd give the Beauty Shop a try. Since it was a nice day, we were happy to sit outdoors. There for lunch, I had planned to order a salad, but the fish club with fried green tomatoes and avocado, served with homemade chips sounded too good to pass up. I was not disappointed. When... Starting with an amazing bloody mary then had the most delicious crepe with chicken, melted mozarella and roasted red peppers accompanied with a small fresh salad with fresh mangos, pecans, and tomatoes. I saw a red velvet cake go by that caught my eye but was very full. The name fits the decor and the energy was calm and comfortable.... More

My husband and I found this gem via Trip Advisor. It was quaint, in the heart of an idyllic artsy fartsy neighborhood - my favorite. Only two servers were covering a pretty significant late (1:30) lunch hour. Several big and little birthday celebrations, but the restaurant was far from full. We waited and waited (the waitress was fixing cocktail for... More

The Beauty Shop is a former... wait for it, beauty shop. The owner also owns Automatic Slims (awesome restaurant) and Mollie Fontaine's (funky spot for a drink). The food is delicious at the Beauty Shop and so are the desserts. I was eating light and had the cheese plate as an app - so good and a great way to... More

If you only come to Memphis for a weekend stop at Beauty Shop for brunch on the way out of town. The atmosphere is as much fun as the menu which always features a list of rotating specials not listed. We live in Jackson so we've hit up the Beauty several times. Eclectic cocktails and food choices and savory sauces.... More

My husband and I visited this restaurant and I truly enjoyed the atmosphere. We went for Sunday Brunch, when we arrived we didn't know we needed reservations, so eneded up eating at the bar. My husband and I enjoyed the parmesan truffle fries and Blueberry Infused Martini and a Bloody Mary. I took a look in the back where the... More

Awesome food and a cool concept! Loved it. The bacon eggs benedict was great as were the bloddy mary's. Make a reservation. This place gets busy!

So Charming! And the food - wow! Had pulled pork and pear eggs Benedict and lemon ricotta pancakes. Couldn't have been any tastier. Reservations important.
