My parents loved Coletta's so much that they had their wedding rehearsal dinner there, in the blue room in the back. So, when I was on a recent trip with my own family to Memphis, I decided we would have to stop there for dinner. I was not disappointed. It was good, solid, tasty Italian food. We were not adventurous:... More

Coletta's is a Memphis landmark, a monument to the old Italian families who helped make Memphis a special place many years ago. The food is well crafted old school red gravy Italian with a touch of Memphis soul in it. Don't expect high faultin' fancy Italian fare, this is spaghetti and meat sauce and sausage. While some may dismiss the... More

If you love bbq and pizza, Coletta's has the best of both worlds. Their bbq pizza is loaded with bbq and is very tasty. We lived in Memphis over 30 years ago and this was one of our favorite places to go eat. And I say this a Chicago boy who really loves Chicago pan pizza! I went back to... More

In town for USA Fencing's March NAC tournament. Found excellent Italian food at Coletta's. The lasagna was one of the best that I have tasted, light and flavorful. Chicken parmigiana was very good as well. The younger members of our group enjoyed pizza. Portions are good-sized and served promptly. Lots of Elvis memorabilia. Our party sat at Elvis' favorite table.... More

Elvis Presley ate here. There is even a room where he ate dedicated to him. They are the inventors of the bbque pizza [not my thing] but--they are also one of the two best places [the other being Dino's] in all of Memphis to get your fill of great spaghetti and meatballs. I am not kidding! You would think that... More

Coletta's Italian Restaurant was recommended to us by a stranger we met while visiting the Stax Museum of American Soul. This neighborhood restaurant has friendly servers and good food. Because this restaurant is off the beaten path, it is suspected that it is frequented primarily by locals. If I were in the neighborhood I would not be opposed to returning... More

This was a last-minute decision, as our day didn't work out quite as planned, but I'm glad we tried it! Even though the specialty is BBQ pizza, we went for a round-the-world combo pizza and it was delicious! Service was pretty bad, we had to just tackle somebody to get a drink refill, but this is not a pretentious place,... More

Still the best toasted ravioli in the world. The build is very old and the wait staff may be older than that. This is not an Olive Garden! It is a step back in time. The servers kinda treat everyone like they are regulars and should already know what they want. Kinda think Italian soup "nazi" and you won't be... More

Went to the one in bartlett and do not waste your night out or $$. The decor is old, cheesy and borderline clean. I can overlook decor for good food so I gave it a shot- HORRIBLE, DISAPPOINTING! Waiter was substandard- he could tell we did not like our food and avoided our table- Veal Parm was a frozen pre-pressed... More
