Decent food and great beer selection

Went early on a Friday. Had the corned beef sandwich. Very good, but certainly not the best I've had. The beer selection was awesome and the server was helpful. I would go again.

This was my husband and my first visit to Flying Saucer. I'm not sure we'll go back. The restaurant does have a lot of beer listed on their website, but the evening we visited they were out of a lot. We found the variety itself limited - no ESB or rye selections available. The disturbing part of the evening was... More

Odd that so close to many bars primarily selling Busch Light, Miller Lite, and Coors Light, you find a true beer lovers bar. So many beers on the wall a hard decision is always ahead of you at the Flying Saucer.

I ate a late lunch with friends here during a recent business trip to Memphis. The basic burger and fries that I had was good- probably average for better bar/restaurants like this, and a reasonable deal. We didn't have to wait very long for it either- but this was during a time of day when there were few people in... More

I spent a week in Memphis this month and went here after work with colleagues for a couple beers. Excellent choices that makes you come back. Can highly recommend if you look for something different than Beale Street!

This is a top notch place. I got my name on the wall a few years ago and go back for business now and again Still tons of beer, still great cheap food, still Trivia, still football on the big screen, still nice and hot waitresses. Right downtown too. A must for Memphis

Just a few blocks from Beale Street, I always go back to the flying saucer. The choice of beer is unmatched, staff is really nice and there are often trivia nights. If you live there and love beer, you can get your plate with your name only of you try ALL the beers over 1 year (max 3 per nights).... More

I'm not sure how many, but if you can't find something you like, you didn't try. Guaranteed to have beers you've never even heard of. The picture here shows HALF of their taps. They also have bottle beer, wine and liquor.

Always make it a point to stop here while in Memphis. They have a great beer selection, with lots of local and Southern beer choices that aren't available to me locally. Food is good, especially the German choices (German Plate and Saucer Brazil). Staff are friendly but not always efficient and location is good near Beale Street but away from... More
