After days of barbeque, it was a treat to have dinner at McEwens. We were greeted warmly when we entered and taken to our table, we chose from 6 different small plates and left FULL. The 6 plates and 4 glasses of wine all for less then $80.00. A great value and really fresh food. Favorites were the butternut squash... More

We stayed at the Residence Inn next door to McEwens, so between the Trip Adviser reviews and the convenient location, it was an easy dinner choice. This is a comfortable neighbor hood restaurant with extraordinary food. The purple pea humans and flat iron steak/tater tots are two of the best starters that we have had..ever. The Oso Bucco was amazing... More

Just returned from McEwens and have to say the food was outstanding. My partner has the salmon starter with the lobster risotto to follow, and I started with the brased cabbage salad and then the grouper with pasta and green beans. We were delighted with the complexity of taste. The staff were attentive despite the restaurant clearly very busy. All... More

We had a reservation at 6:15 on a Friday night. We were seated promptly. Service was friendly and consistent throughout our meal. We had two small plate items as appetizers (lobster saffron risotto and crab tostada). Both were quite good, but the crab tostada was exceptional. Our entrees (duck and lamb) were cooked well, seasoned well, and served hot. The... More

Pro's: great friendly service; lots of enticing items on the menu; food was outstanding! Con's: a bit pricey; rather simplistic looking venue without much style; Overall: would return again and the quality of food was definitely worth the price we paid

I enjoyed the one of the appetizer specials and the sweet potato crusted catfish. Our entire party of 4 all enjoyed their meals as well. Solid service and a nice place to entertain guests or just to have a good time in a relaxed, fine dining atmosphere without being stuffy. The location is convenient to popular areas of Memphis.

The restaurant has a great lively atmosphere. The staff was efficient and well trained. Every person at my table raved about what they ordered. The bar menu had plenty of unusual and creative cocktails too.

After enduring the route 40 construction on the way to memphis this was a nice respite. We chatted with co-owner John about how the restaurant was started and grew into three. The Creme brule was the best I've had. We liked the atmosphere of a small restaurant. The Peabody hotel recommended this.

Definitely, definitely have dinner here. The service was excellent, everyone was friendly and welcoming, and the food was outstanding. Will certainly go again if I make it to Memphis again.
