Seafood in Memphis

Atmosphere is very nice and service was good. Surprise to get good seafood in Memphis, but we did. Fried oysters were good along with the shrimp and grits as appetizers. The sea bass was great along with the seafood pasta and the scallop dishes. Portions are not huge, but satisfying.

We actually considered another place prior to going here, but they only served beer (I'm allergic). It was Friday night, so I definitely wanted to enjoy some wine with my food. So we walked down the street and ran into McEwen's that was also on my Saved list on Tripadvisor. Although they were full, they did have a table open... More

For our first night in Memphis we came here. Really liked the "local" element and the freshness of the ingredients. My date got the sweet potato crusted fish; I got a couple of appetizers. One was a beef au jus sandwich type thing and the other pork tenderloin medallions. Everything was good! My date's entree stood out in particular. It... More

Really enjoyed the laid-back but somewhat sophisticated atmosphere of McEwen's. Food was delicious--really enjoyed the scallops as well as the shrimp and grits. Some nice local beers on tap as well.

I have been wanting to dine at this place for over 4 years and finally got to. My girlfriend took me here for my birthday 03-13-15. I had heard amazing things about this place from many folks. When arriving, the hostess sat us in the middle of dining room, opposite the bar. This place was very noisy . I would... More

Stumbled across McEwens by accident and were very glad we did. We sat at the bar as all the tables were full but were very happy with this arrangement as the barstaff were wonderful. The food was amazing, we shared some small plates and an entree so that we had room for dessert and were very glad we did. Everything... More

The wine cellar is the perfect place for a celebration. The waitstaff at McEwens was absolutely wonderful and the food was delicious. The room in the cellar is just large enough for a group of probably 12-18. It provides an intimate setting within the restaurant. Everyone was very happy with his/ her dinner selection.

If your looking for a restaurant with good food then try McEwans , 6 of us went on our last night and could not fault the food. The manager took time to come over to our table for a chat, a very nice gentleman. Average price for 3courses was approx 50 dollars

Such a nice, quaint place to eat with delicious food and wonderful service. We really enjoyed our scallops and Sea Bass. The drinks were also most awesome...the bartender was wonderful! We even went back the next night for dessert only... you have to try the Banana Cream Pie!! Really delicious!

Delicious dinner at McEwen's, the duck breast was amazing. Also the restaurant is very artsy and cute. Our server was super sweet. All in all definitely worth a stop.
