Best biscuit on our tour of the South!

Lucky stumble on our last day of 10 days driving through the South! Parking was easy in the side lot. The menu was lovely with great twists on classics: crab cake Benedict was amazing. The biscuit really was heavenly, and we had been sampling them in 3 states. It was light and flaky and well worth... read more

I am dreaming of the biscuits I had for breakfast yesterday. My whole breakfast (crab cake benedict) was delicious, but those biscuits......... We had trouble finding great food in Memphis, and wish we would have discovered this for other meals earlier in our stay. Super sweet staff. Great spot in a fun part of Memphis.

Enjoyed a dinner at Alchemy while in the Cooper-Young area of Memphis. Very nice atmosphere with comfortable seating, large bar and several corner conservation areas. We shared two small plates which turned out to be plenty of food and we both left full. Had the fish tacos which were excellent and a mixed plate that had several familiar servings but... More

I visited this restaurant with my business colleagues. The drinks have unique names and great combination of ingredients. We loved the charcuterie and Brussel sprouts. I ordered tuna as a small plate and had a great flavor. The place serves small appetizers, appetizers to share and small plates. Everything was really tasty. The environment is industrial-chic. The central bar is... More

Alchemy is a sophisticated bar and restaurant. The bartenders make excellent drinks with a large section to pick from. The tapas style food is also delicious.

Large bar, plenty of tables and comfortable seating arrange to mingle. Nice hang out for drinks during the week or on the weekend. Serves several signature drinks and small plates on Alchemy's tapas-style menu just the right size. My favorite, Southern Antipasta – Smoked Chicken Salad, Pimento Cheese, Feta Artichoke Salad, Housemade Pickled Vegetables and this is plenty to share.... More

We each ordered two of the small plate/appetizers. Our favorites: Mac and Cheese, Smoked Mushroom and Arugula Salad, Smoked Chicken and Pimento Cheese salads, Sliders, Fish Tacos. Each of these was phenominal and there were no leftovers. Also ordered fried oysters, Beef tenderloin and new potatoes, and Tuna with crispy Kale. These three were also good, just not quite as... Pros = Open on Monday Night, one of few in area, and and at least one other was smoke-filled; artful decor; some of food offerings, i.e., arugula salad, brussels sprouts, + sliders Cons = Noisy atmosphere (contrary to mood trying to set); crab cakes were fishy ( a first for us! ); drinks menu w/o organization or prices (which wouldn't... We stopped in during the Cooper Young festival. They were very crowded, but we got a table in the back. We had fish tacos and a panini type sandwich that were both very-very good. We felt like there was a limited and special menu for the festival day. This had to one of their, if the THE, busiest days of... More
