A Nice place overall...

First, I must say i was pleased with the flavors of the food. The crab cakes were superb. The spinach pecan salad was also very good. My wife was also very pleased with the Shrimp & Grits. Their drink selection is expansive and offers a pletoria of great choices. My lone complaint was with... read more

Located in the heart of midtown Alchemy is a must. Open for dinner only, except Sunday brunch. Many unusually tasty orders to share or not, you will want to order everything on the menu. We especially liked the BBQ sushi, roasted brussel sprouts and the grilled cheese and tomato soup was outstanding. Angel our server was top notch and made... More

People from Memphis recommended we visit Mid-Town and this restaurant and boy were we happy we did! Great drink menu - one of the best I've seen anywhere (I got some lemonade-vodka-jalapeno thing!) - amazing 'small plate' sharable menu. Everything was delicious! And environment is awesome - artsy - funky - just wow!

Sitting in the high stools, great street side view, we sip our cold drinks and nibble each others delectable small plates. Each taste was fine, service efficient, evening enjoyable.

We visited Alchemy with our friend while we were visiting Memphis. He had heard good things and we thought we'd try it for Sunday brunch. We were a party of 6 and everything started out fine. Sunday brunch has the Bloody Mary Bar and other special drinks. We each ordered a drink and it didn't take too long to receive... More

Memphis has no shortage of great restaurants but this is one of our favorites when visiting. The location is easy to find in the pleasant, slow-paced Cooper-Young area with plenty of interesting shops nearby. We like the brunch menu with authentic Southern breakfast items including biscuits & gravy, grits (loaded or otherwise), and chicken & waffles. It may be a... More

Lucky stumble on our last day of 10 days driving through the South! Parking was easy in the side lot. The menu was lovely with great twists on classics: crab cake Benedict was amazing. The biscuit really was heavenly, and we had been sampling them in 3 states. It was light and flaky and well worth the extra order we... More

I am dreaming of the biscuits I had for breakfast yesterday. My whole breakfast (crab cake benedict) was delicious, but those biscuits......... We had trouble finding great food in Memphis, and wish we would have discovered this for other meals earlier in our stay. Super sweet staff. Great spot in a fun part of Memphis.

Enjoyed a dinner at Alchemy while in the Cooper-Young area of Memphis. Very nice atmosphere with comfortable seating, large bar and several corner conservation areas. We shared two small plates which turned out to be plenty of food and we both left full. Had the fish tacos which were excellent and a mixed plate that had several familiar servings but... More
