Alchemy appears to be a nice place to have a drink, but I was having dinner, and just wasn't impressed. The restaurant has a confusing menu, dish portions are too small, and the prices are too high. In addition, the furnishings in the restaurant are inexpensive and uncomfortable. It's just lacking consumer value. However, one a positive note, the food... More

Fantastic place for the more sophisticated drinker. Great selection of cocktails and Park is pretty much the best bartender. The food is good. Not smoky. Room to breathe. Come here when you've grown out of the crammed dive bars.

A fun place in Midtown. Don't make a special trip but if you are in Midtown you should stop in. The wine list is decent. I asked for a dirty martini and they forgot the olive juice. Instead of remixing the drink they poured the dirt in the drink. Any martini drinker and bartender should know it should be remade.

My husband and I along with our 2 college age daughters had dinner here in a weekend night and we thoroughly enjoyed it! The atmosphere is very lively and the food was delicious. I recommend having a reservation and be prepared to valet park. Great place for dinner in a special night!

Yes, a trendy spot. All the hipster there. That aside, inspired food and menu. Great attention to detail. Basicly a tapas style menu of upscale/re imagined southern food. best dish is quail. flavors are old school but kicked up. Corn meal pound cake is a real example.

Great midtown location. They have a nice weekend brunch. They could use an additional bartender at happy hour though.

We stopped in for drinks before dinner in the area, and had a good time sampling the cocktails. They had a great reposado drink; the bartender let us sample the mezcal - went and bought a bottle the next day. Good service, great bar.

Finally had the opportunity to try Alchemy this past weekend. We've heard so much about it, but were told by friends that it was impossible to get a seat on the weekend. We planned to have drinks before dinner at nearby 1912 where we had dined many times over the years. We called ahead to see what the parking was... More

We had looked at Alchemy's website and thought it looked appropriate for a dinner between two families with young people at college. We started by asking about vegetarian options-You would have thought we asked for an impossibility. The waiter made it clear he did not want to be bothered. The manager became involved and we thought all would be okay.... More
