Went there for lunch on a Saturday. Cannot say one bad thing at all. Chicken was hot, juicy and spicy. Fried green tomatoes were delicious. Very cozy atmosphere but very casual. Service was better than excellent! Even the Coke seems to be better than expected! Highly recommend!

My mom and I got there at 11:00am when it opened and got right in but don't wait until 11:15 because it was already full. The chicken was crispy and juicy. It was spicy so don't go there if you can not handle spicy food. We ordered an 8 piece to go, to bring home(back to Boston) that's how good... More

As this was listed on the food channel as a place we needed to visit, we expected incredible instead on mediocre. Nothing to write home about.

We visited Gus's on a recommendation, a must visit, and it certainly was an interesting place for lunch. First off, you will need to like chicken because as the name says it is all about fried chicken at Gus's. Secondly, don't be tempted to over order - the chicken is filling and the fried flavour packs a nice little punch.... More

We were looking for something authentic to Memphis...not some chain and read reviews on places in Memphis and decided that this place sounded good. We were not disappointed at all. We got there during a Memphis bb game, so the area was full of cars parked for the game. After we walked around Beale Street we walked back to here... More

Service was good and the fried chicken was fabulous. Better than any other place I have been. Rustic atmosphere.

I finally made it to Gus's, and once I did, I understood the fuss about Gus's. Mmm, finger lickin' good is right, but only at Gus's. It's a spicy and lightly fried chicken. Get the dark meat, people. If you're going to be bad, be bad and enjoy the moist, flavorful fried chicken. My favorite side here are the greens.... More

The best chicken you have ever eaten. Hot and a little spicy. I ate more chicken than a den of foxes. I would have eaten more but my family was tired of waiting. Go there and eat. I do not care if you have to wait. Trust me of this.

My daughter and I were just in Memphis and had to try Gus's. As everyone says, the chicken is great! So were the sides (beans, coleslaw, potato salad), and we highly recommend the Fried Green Tomatoes (a first for us). Good prices for excellent food. Friendly service, relaxed atmosphere. Don't miss this one!
