Oh my goodness, HUGE amount of food! Overwhelming! It was good but not mind blowing, breakfast is my favorite meal out and this would not be a repeat. The restaurant is cute. It was FREEZING the day we there, had to keep our coats on. Bottom line if you like a lot of mediocre food you'll be happy here.

Great home cooking. Comfort food. We went last Saturday for breakfast. Only complaint I have is that it's so disappointing to have someone hostess that has no people skills. Was like everyone was bothering her. She rolled her eyes. Which was so disrespectful. When people asked her how long the wait would be she would say she had no idea.... More

Great diner in downtown Memphis. It happened to be one of the very few places that was open on new years eve, and boy was I lucky that they were open and the other places I tried were not. It doesn't do anything particularly different from the standard diner fare, it's just done that little bit better. What bowled me... More

The first morning everything was wonderful...the second my poached eggs were overcooked, had yo go to the kitchen to find my server, all food got cold waiting for another egg...I guess no one can be 100% all of the time but, poached eggs are not that difficult.

I was in Memphis after Christmas and had breakfast here on Sunday. Very huge portions of down home cooked breakfast. I had scrambled eggs, sausage, biscuits & gravy, and potatoes. Loved the potatoes! Service was fast and very friendly. I will definitely return when I go back to Memphis. Good prices too!

We r!ead I'm pretty mixeon Tripadvisor this was the best breakfast in Memphis so we went on a Sunday before we left town. Court Square is across the street & full of shady people hollering at you but we had to walk through it due to parking limitations. Once safely inside the cafe we were seated near the back by... Busy place with a typical wait. But worth it. Breakfast options are great. Waffles, pancakes, omelettes are all excellent. Inexpensive as well. A great value for very good food.

Great little place for breakfast. Biscuits are really really good, sadly the sausage gravy served with them was runny and not very tasty. They do a good job with their omelets and pancakes, yummy coffee, and the staff is very friendly. If you're staying at the Madison Hotel, this is a close breakfast place, but if you want awesome sausage... More

The Blue Plate has the best breakfast ever! Order 2 eggs and you get your choice of biscuits and gravy or toast, hashbrowns or pancakes! All for under $6!
