Simple but good The service was very good and the food was fresh. Great location from our hotel. We would not hesitate to return next time we are in memphis.

Blue Plate Cafe is conveniently located in the middle of downtown Memphis, off a quiet square. I have visited a few times now and have ordered eggs, hash browns, biscuits, bacon, eggs Benedict, and several other items. We always leave stuffed and happy. It's a pretty casual and laid back atmosphere and very nice for a weekend late breakfast.

There was no indication this restaurant was closed in the evening. We went there thinking we would have dinner and were told they were closed and would open the next day for breakfast.

On the recommendation of my airport shuttle driver, I walked a few blocks from my hotel to have breakfast. Simple décor with blue and white as their theme. I ordered the Blue Plate special - two scramble egg whites with hash browns, Tater tots, sausage, fruit and Orange juice. I did not taste anything special in the food taste. I... More

We stopped in for breakfast in our last morning in Memphis (7/4) based on a recommendation from out hotel. Biscuits with gravy were amazing. Eggs were a little cold when they arrived, they was so much food that I didn't even mind. Service was very good but not very friendly.

I'm not big on BBQ, but my mom is, so we visited this restaurant while we were in Memphis. The atmosphere is nice, tons of memorabilia. Our waiter Rowdy was really friendly and accommodating. The food was decent (like I said, I'm not big on BBQ), wasn't the best but far from the worst. Not very much selection, my mom... More

From the timewd sat down until we ate was 45 minutes. The gravy was racehorse gravy, the potatoes were marketed as hasbrowns but they only serve country fried potatoes and they were inedible. Omlet was average at best. The banana pancakes were big but had 3 small chunks of banana and the peanutbuter syrup was syrup with peanut butter swirled... More

The waiting line was going out the door when we stopped by, but we decided to wait and give it a try based on the reviews. There was a large party at the front of the line that was the main reason for the wait, but we still could not understand why they would not go ahead and sit couples,... More

This restaurant is on the beginning of Bealle Street so you can access it without going through the special event gate check or street check in the entrance to the street. Atmosphere is great the bar next door has live music with a cover charge. I had the cheese plate with sausage which also included some crunchy pickle slices. This... More
