Don't be afraid to try something new or thought you didn't like. I thought I did not like Brussel Sprouts, but that was until I tasted them at Restaurant Iris! And the Bone Marrow is heavenly. If you are vegetarian the kitchen can be very accommodating and according to the vegetarians I dined with the option was divine!

In the last few years I've been in Paris, Madrid, San Francisco, New York, Provincetown, Valencia, and in Provence. Nowhere had I found a restaurant to match Iris in the culinary arts. The cooking, of course, the most important of those arts, was superb - from broiled Brussels sprouts and Lobster Knuckle "sandwich" appetizers, to trout almandine, surf and turf,... More

My wife and I recently had dinner at Restaurant Iris, we had heard about this place from friends and decided to check it out. WOW! Set in a older mid town home loaded with charm the meal was spectacular. I had the swordfish and it was cooked to perfection, sides were wonderful. I started off with grilled brussel sprouts that... It is not very often a restaurant can impress me, but when one goes above and beyond for my 6 year old niece by giving us a private room fully decorated in an amazing Princess theme, I must comment. Iris is a spectacular and special place and the entire Iris team creates a dining experience not found in many places.... More

My wife and I always try a top restaurant to celebrate our anniversary. Restaurant Iris was at the top of our wish list. We booked about a month in advance for a 5:30 sitting. The staff set the tone for what would be an amazing meal. She described the specials and we opted to go with the lamb and butternut... More

The restaurant is in an old house in midtown Memphis in the heart of an on-going cultural revival in the area. The chef is highly regarded and the food created and served was really good. Although it's on the pricey side, we felt it was worth it for the quality of the food. We chose a complete meal and wine... More

Restaurant is in an old house which has been beautifully renovated. Each room has about 4 tables which makes the dining experience feel private. Thought the food was great. The service was great. Look forward whenever in Memphis to go back.

Because of the reviews, I was looking forward to eating at Restaurant Iris. I was very disappointed. Nothing that I ordered lived up to my expectations. My entree of Rainbow Trout was so heavily breaded, seasoned, and soggy with oil that it was unrecognizable as trout. My wife's osso bucco was undercooked but did have a good flavor. My bread...
