The menu was eclectic and what we had was delicious - some kind of pannini club, was a daily special. The bar person and our server was Brittney and she was so friendly and helpful. We challenged her that was the owner or chef really from NJ as they serve "Grandma's NJ Meatballs" as she swore that he was really... More

Marci from the Madison Hotel had recommended the Bardog Tavern, just down the street from our hotel. She said it was a local favorite. We went for a late afternoon/early dinner. The bar had a great beer selection and the food was outstanding...more than just bar food. Our waitresses, Amanda and Lauren, were so fun and did a fantastic job... More

Truly a tavern experience. Top notch food, great menu. I had the mussels with herbed garlic butter. Generous helping and very tender and sweet. Interesting specials that change daily. Good beer selection. Excellent service. A local favorite for a reason. Go.

Bardog Tavern was 1/2 block from our hotel, so we lucked out by stumbling onto this great bar. It's not very big, so it is cozy but it can also be quite difficult to get a seat when they are busy. The food was excellent. We ate there our first day in town and got takeout the next day. The... More

Great place to unwind and have a few beers. The food looked good too. The barman remembered us each night and remembered what our drink order was. We sat down on the first night and the waitress wasn't pleased because we would be taking up a space for people eating and more importantly she made it clear it would affect... More

We were there on a VERY busy Friday night, but were still able to squeeze into a table. The service was pretty fast for such a busy night & very friendly. The sliders are awesome & the meatballs are great too. Good beer selection. I've been there at lunch too & the sliders are just as tasty!

After a long day of sightseeing, I was looking for something quick and tasty and came across the yelp for the Bardog. I called to ask if they had take away service, which they did, and ordered the Cobb salad. It was ready within 10 minutes and when I opened up the food at my hotel, it was a huge... More

We decided to have brunch here on Sunday during the Beale Street Music Festival, busy is an understatement! Bloody Mary was spicy and perfect, food was great, service was good, all around great experience! Couple all that with it being steps away from our favorite hotel (The Madison) definitely a return visit in our future!

I really wanted to like this place. I have heard so much about it. But, I've been there twice now and neither visit impressed me. First time, it was soooo busy, there was standing room only and a wait to get into the basement. We left after a short time. The staff was rather curt, but, they were very busy.... More
