Bardog Tavern was 1/2 block from our hotel, so we lucked out by stumbling onto this great bar. It's not very big, so it is cozy but it can also be quite difficult to get a seat when they are busy. The food was excellent. We ate there our first day in town and got takeout the next day. The... More

Great place to unwind and have a few beers. The food looked good too. The barman remembered us each night and remembered what our drink order was. We sat down on the first night and the waitress wasn't pleased because we would be taking up a space for people eating and more importantly she made it clear it would affect... More

We were there on a VERY busy Friday night, but were still able to squeeze into a table. The service was pretty fast for such a busy night & very friendly. The sliders are awesome & the meatballs are great too. Good beer selection. I've been there at lunch too & the sliders are just as tasty!

After a long day of sightseeing, I was looking for something quick and tasty and came across the yelp for the Bardog. I called to ask if they had take away service, which they did, and ordered the Cobb salad. It was ready within 10 minutes and when I opened up the food at my hotel, it was a huge... More

Great pub for a few beers to watch the world cup and have some dinner. Suitable for families or anything else. Super friendly staff

We decided to have brunch here on Sunday during the Beale Street Music Festival, busy is an understatement! Bloody Mary was spicy and perfect, food was great, service was good, all around great experience! Couple all that with it being steps away from our favorite hotel (The Madison) definitely a return visit in our future!

I really wanted to like this place. I have heard so much about it. But, I've been there twice now and neither visit impressed me. First time, it was soooo busy, there was standing room only and a wait to get into the basement. We left after a short time. The staff was rather curt, but, they were very busy.... More

Stopped in for a pint, and although it was extremely crowded the day we visited (it just happened to be a pub crawl stop for the local university), the staff was friendly and we were served promptly. I particularly appreciated the fact that the lower level was non-smoking (of course you had to walk through a cloud of smoke to... More

Ended up at Bardog after our hotel bar closed at the Madison. The place was a lot of fun and had some great late night food. Sliders and fries! The fries had us coming back three nights in a row!!

Went here for dinner on a rainy evening, had great food. Enjoyed the lively atmosphere so much we went back for breakfast the next day. Loved the strawberry lager.
