Great creole eats

The food was quite good. The server seemed to really want to up-sell us, pushing appetizers and dessert at lunch time, but they were very nice and attentive.

The service was amazing...the food, not so much. I'm from the boot and this is not Cajun cooking. The cornbread was good, but leave the Cajun cooking to the coonasses. Jambalaya ain't red, gumbo is not thick as mud, and beignets ain't made with a biscuit outta a can. Please- buy some Tonys and put some heat in your meat!

The service/servers were nice and helpful. The food took a while to come out and it just didn't measure up. I tried both locations with two different sets of friends and we all came to the same conclusion that we're weren't going back. I was kind of disappointed about that because I'd tasted some of his food at a cooking... More

We stumbled upon this restaurant while strolling downtown. Staff was super friendly and seemed very knowledgable about celiac disease and they offered a number of gluten free options. The bayou rolls were yummy and the hot wings were nice and spicy. I had the oyster po boy and the breading for the oysters had a wonderful taste to it. We... More

They only serve beer here, but let us bring in our own bottle of booze. The food is outstanding New Orleans style. Great shrimp dishes!

Stopped here for a late dinner, the sign out front said, Creole, Vegan and Vegetarian food....but we glanced at the menu posted and saw that they really have a little of everything! Great food! Also a very friendly place, the owner came around and talked to everyone.

Deja Vu is a hole-in-wall style restaurant in downtown Memphis, about 5 blocks from the Beale St. strip that is definitely worth seeking out if you like Cajun food. Not only is the food very good, it is inexpensive, especially considering its location. They only serve beer and the selection is limited. The food tends to be on the spicy... More

Strange place for Cajun food, in the middle of BBQ city! We had asked the bus driver for lunch recommendation and this was his choice. Shrimp and grits, Po Boy, and a wrap. It was great food, we were only ones in restaurant, so the staff treated us like Queens! Don't skip the bread pudding--it was spectacular!!

Our bus driver recommended this restaurant and we are glad we took his advice. We ate at the 51 S. Main St. location and chose to eat outside. Our meals were delicious. The service was excellent and the desserts, peach cobbler and bread pudding, were to die for. Chef Gary Williams came outside to talk with each diner and thanked... More
