BYOB!!

They only serve beer here, but let us bring in our own bottle of booze. The food is outstanding New Orleans style. Great shrimp dishes!

Stopped here for a late dinner, the sign out front said, Creole, Vegan and Vegetarian food....but we glanced at the menu posted and saw that they really have a little of everything! Great food! Also a very friendly place, the owner came around and talked to everyone.

Deja Vu is a hole-in-wall style restaurant in downtown Memphis, about 5 blocks from the Beale St. strip that is definitely worth seeking out if you like Cajun food. Not only is the food very good, it is inexpensive, especially considering its location. They only serve beer and the selection is limited. The food tends to be on the spicy... More

Strange place for Cajun food, in the middle of BBQ city! We had asked the bus driver for lunch recommendation and this was his choice. Shrimp and grits, Po Boy, and a wrap. It was great food, we were only ones in restaurant, so the staff treated us like Queens! Don't skip the bread pudding--it was spectacular!!

Our bus driver recommended this restaurant and we are glad we took his advice. We ate at the 51 S. Main St. location and chose to eat outside. Our meals were delicious. The service was excellent and the desserts, peach cobbler and bread pudding, were to die for. Chef Gary Williams came outside to talk with each diner and thanked... More

We saw this restaurant and decided to try it, and we were so happy that we did! We ate outside which was nice, and the waiters/waitresses were quick to serve us drinks and refills. They also made suggestions about the menu. The food was unbelievable! I recommend everyone that visits Memphis, to stop by Deja Vu and have some real... More

4 of us dropped in for dinner, two ordered catfish grilled and fried. Both excellent. The fried was a very light dusting and perfect The étouffée was also very good. Three of us ordered the grilled cabbage and we all agreed it was the best we ever had. Only drawback is no spirits license but they do offer beer (and... More

Great location, delicious food, decent atmosphere. The prices were slightly high but worth it overall. I got the gator po-boy, my wife got the jambalaya, and we split the boudin. All of them were tasty.

As we were on a road trip of the Southern states we felt that we had to try creole and soul food and so picked this restaurant. This review is difficult as the staff were very friendly but the food just wasn't for us. I tried a creole sampler of four different dishes - including alligator stew. I am sorry... More
