Heavenly Mac 'n Cheese

We stopped here for lunch on our way to Wigton. It is right across the street from the distillery. I ordered the mac and cheese and it was absolutely heavenly! It was oh so creamy and the flavor and intensity of the cheese was just right ...it was one of the best I've had! My husband also enjoyed... read more

One of our main requirements when booking a cottage nearby for a christmas break was to find somewhere offering Christmas lunch; the Bladnoch surpassed all expectations and we would highly recommend it. The food was excellent ,the service great, the bitter well kept and the overall atmosphere fantastic, we we're on the last sitting but there was plenty of choice, all... More

Three of us were visiting this area over the new year period and decided to call in for lunch. What we didn't realise was that 2 January is also a public holiday here and the Bladnoch Inn was quite full which is usually a good sign. It turned out that 2 of the staff hadn't turned up and the remaining... More

Happened to be passing and called in for some lunch. Had the carvery on a Sunday and was one of the best carverys we've had. Big selection of dishes and all well prepared. Would highly recommend a visit here!

Seeing the reviews of this restaurant we made a special effort to visit it. What a disappointment! The service was extremely slow & disinterested - 40 minutes before our meal arrived, after much prompting, and in a half empty dining room. The meals were so disappointing (especially after a wonderful, and far less expensive meal at the nearby Galloway Arms... More

Great pub with busy, vibrant atmosphere. Helpful, friendly staff. Good food and truly excellent Guinness. Just wish we could have visited on a music night. Highly recommended. Dog friendly.

The initial reception and food service was excellent. No fuss about the two of us being accompanied by 2 collie dogs and a cocker spaniel. The food was excellent and at £5 a head for Fish Friday ,,, fantastic value !! The service from the bar and certain members of restaurant staff was brilliant. It was just a shame that... More

We spent a night at the inn whilst touring around the Whithorn/Wigton peninsular. The staff were hugely friendly and helpful. They had a great selection of whiskies and some good real ale, and we had a lovely evening meal. On top of that the cooked breakfast will set you up for the day. Couldn't fault the place at all. If... More
