We've been using this chip shop for the past 15 years as we own a caravan nearby. In the past we could never wait for our fish and chips from here as it was top class both in the restaurant and as a takeaway. However we no longer sit in as the price they charge for a plate of fish... More

What can I say? Excellent. The waitress was so nice and pleasent. Crab sandwches were really nice and I was expecting a couple of sandwiches but got served four with salad and crisps. Had a side order of chips which were spot on.

We like the view out to sea from Mackays but it is more of a cafe than a restaurant, albeit a very busy one. We found though on our last visit that our fish was too greasy for our liking.

Food is quite good if a little pricy. Staff seem more interested in talking to each other or the locals. Don't go near closing time as they will not be interested in serving you!

We had a superb freshly cooked meal which was served by very helpful and friendly staff. Maggie and Jamie couldn't have done any more to make our visit enjoyable, and we had a good chat. The delicious home made rhubarb pie went down very well but they should make more of the fact the their puddings are home made. The... More

Went with friends and ate in the restaurant. Unfortunately the lasagne was off which sounded really nice. Fish & chips, I had Lemon sole, were nice and service good. We felt it was a little pricey.

This was a real find, yummy food cooked by Bobby, and served efficiently with a smile by Maggie. The fish and chips were very tasty and the home made coleslaw surpassed expectations. The sea views are lovely. Hope to visit again soon.

We stopped for fish and chips on our way back from our holiday in Iceland. We had a fantastic meal which was served to us by an absolutely lovely lady who went out of her way for us! The fish was delicious and was better than our cod in the harbour in Reykjavik ( which was outstanding too!) Thank you... More

Normally I wouldn’t bother commenting on here but after reading some of the reviews on here I think this is an exception. I’m a keen bird watcher (the feathered variety) I’m in this area quite often especially St Abbs but I do like to dine at this establishment in Eyemouth from time to time. It suits my needs, close to... More

I'm not normally one for sharing my opinion whether it is good or bad to be honest. Very much a self to myself kind of person, but when I seen the comments below I had to step in and get things back on track for the benefit of this establishment. I have never heard anything so far from the truth... More
