Waitress was very rude!

The food in Mackays, we always find, is fine. However we decided to sit in the Bantry and although the other reviewers say the waitress (50+and 'blonde') "her bark is worse than her bite" well if you are serving the public then at least be polite. She was incredibly rude from the offset and yes we... read more

Had fish and chips, batter wasn't crisp, mushy and thick. Very disappointing considering it's position and heritage of Eyemouth. Really expected better.

Only popped in for an ice cream. It wasn't great and had some obscure flavours. Didn't eat from the hot counter but it looked clean and staff were tidy.

Stayed in Eyemouth for a week. Local friends kept asking if I had been to MacKays for a meal. I had not, so decided I must go there. I had Fish & Chips. Everything was so fresh. I would not hesitate in going there again if ever in the area.

The fish was so fresh and cooked to perfection...one of the best I have ever tasted. Well done Mackays...be sure we will return... More

I was looking for a simple meal to stop malnutrition setting in and was greeted with excellent fish and chips with the added bonus of friendly service.

Well my wife and I went into this restraunt yesterday afternoon for lunch. Once again the food was top notch. Their service was second to none, we were made to feel so welcome by the waitress who was working there on her own. Thanks
