Great for and exceptionally friendly and helpful owner and staff

I had broken down nearby and they very kindly let me use their phone (there is no mobile phone signal in this remote area) and looked after me while I waited for roadside assistance. Great sandwich and coffee, and very friendly dog. Highly recommended. Free Wifi to boot.

What a find this is. Really lovely food, helpful and efficient staff and a setting second to none. Having had chicken and roasted pepper ciabatta for lunch we returned next day for excellent carrot cake in the morning. Everything was really first rate, even the long drive down a single track road from Aberfoyle is at least very scenic.

I would love to give this place 1 out of 5 to put people off, so that we can have it all to ourselves, but that wouldn't be fair. However, the staff are very friend, the place faces Loch Katrine and their Stronie Beef Burger... yums! Nuff said! However, one thing that might truly put people off is getting there... More

Called today while out for a wee while. Excellent service, friendly staff, and very reasonable prices. Normally when eating off the beaten track the prices are usually outrageous, very pleased to find sensible prices and a decent menu. Recommend this Café to anyone. We'll certainly call again!

At Stronachlacher Pier with great views over Loch Katrine. Family owned, they drive from Glasgow every day for 10.00 opening. Lunch is very good with good choice. Soup and sandwiches particularly good. A great advert for good service, good food and magnificent setting

Looking at the previous reviews we were a little apprehensive going here for lunch so we decided to pop in for coffee and a cake. I have to say we were very pleased indeed. The decor and lay out was ok with very pleasant views. In fact the general ambiance was the only reason I never gave this 5 stars.... More

Amazed to find the cafe open on a wintry February afternoon, but so glad it was. Excellent food and service and a lot of very satisfied customers. Thank you very much.

Great coffee and a really nice view of the loch. The meals are reasonably priced and really nice. Wasn't the easiest to find as some of the signs are a little misleading but defiantly worth it when we got there. Not to mention it was the only place anywhere in the area that was open during the off season.

We followed the signs for more than ten miles down a single track road and stopped for tea at five to four to be rudely told they were closing and would not serve us. This seemed very strange to us because if you advertise as a tearoom you should really be open at tea time. This sort of rudeness makes... More

Carole C, Manager at The Pier Tea Room, responded to this review

We have opened on a seasonal basis for a number of years and this winter we have endeavoured to stay open, weather permitting. Due to the short days at this time of year we have been closing at 4pm. As the days lengthen we are staying open until 5pm from March. We apologise if a member of staff seemed rude,... More
