Great start to our adventure

Visited recently when starting our canoe adventure, heading all the way to Callander. Despite visiting, for the first time, in February, blue sky, gentle breeze, white peaks of the nearby summits and no-one around. Perfect place to start the trip already. Even better when the cafe opened at 10.00am... read more

We stopped in to have some food after a cycle in the area, completely soaked. We were welcomed and propped up beside the lovely log burner to heat up whilst we checked the menu. We both ordered the soup and sandwich combo which was delicious (the soup was roasted red pepper), then hubby had tea and I had an americano... More

Even on a wet November day, sitting in the conservatory of the Pier tearoom at Stronachlachar with a cup of their superb coffee is a real pleasure. Whenever we come to the Trossachs a visit here is an absolute must. The drive from Aberfoyle is beautiful, as are the views from the tearoom itself.

I visited this on a day out from Loch Achray in late August. The fish and chips I chose was cooked perfectly, but the accompanying "garden peas" were tasteless. When I mentioned this to the waitress , my latte was not charged when I came to pay. That is good customer service. The situation is lovely, looking out over Loch Katrine... More

By road from Aberfoyle or, if running, the boat from Trossachs. Only a day time tea room with lovely conservatory overlooking Loch Katrine. The food is very good with some lunch time plates available and nice, friendly, service. There are public toilets at the end of the building, not great, but OK. I understand they are staying open seven days... More

At the end of an interesting drive from Aberfoyle through stunning and varied countryside, I ended up at The Pier Tea Room. A warm welcome from the staff, a perfect cup of coffee and fresh pastry, consumed while sitting in a glass fronted restaurant with a spectacular view of Loch Katrine. While I was sitting in the tea room I... More

a bit tired and closes very early. We had to wait a long time to get served as there was only one person there.

Really was the highlight of our trip, sitting at the pier tea room with one of the best views we've ever had. Totally blissful place. We had the piri piri burger which was delicious, fresh and home made, sad we didn't try a cake or scone. Would definitely recommend this majestic piece of heaven.
