Fantastic is one of the words I would use!!! We have driven past here so many times but not anymore. We were seated in the conservatory with a great view over the loch. The starter of fish cakes was fresh and light and brilliantly tasty. Although Highland Cow Sausage with a Sweet Potato Cavolo Nero Stew sounds simple it was... More

We had hoped to visit Inchmahome Priory but found that even on a Saturday it wasn't open (7th March, low season). Rather than go back to Balloch for food and warmth we decided to try this hotel. Well there was no warmth since the heating was broken (which presumably was not the hotels fault), but we decided to have a... More

We were staying in Aberfoyle for a few nights and ended up stopping in for dinner on a Saturday night without a reservation. The hostess said they were booked up for the whole evening but that they had one table that had no reservation coming for the next hour. They offered to seat us there for dinner as long as... More

The hotel has become our default choice for my wife`s birthday lunch. We`ve tried the more formal restaurant with it`s beautiful views and eaten many times in the bar which is really relaxed and cosy, particularly in winter time with the log fire blazing! The setting of course makes it special. It`s not cheap but worth it when you want... More

Arrived at 2.30pm. Told 'no food after 2.30pm'. by female member of staff and re-directed to the Inn at Kippen. Decided to stay hungry after 2 hour hike round the Queen Elizabeth Forest Park. Sat down, ordered coffee, begged for scones (not possible - 'the chef needs a break') and watched a table to our left make their orders and... More

Stayed here last night via a 5pm deal. Arrived a wee bit late and still got served coffee and scones ( which was part of the deal) which helped to get our visit off to a good start. Stayed in the classic room. Great big bed and very comfortable. Room had everything you needed. Also had dinner here. We were... More

my wife and I had eaten at the Lake a couple of times in the last year. It was good so we decided to come along for a birthday lunch with a few of our friends. What an excellent choice! I do not get it right often but today was one of the few. The guys did a special cover... More

This hotel is in a beautiful location. Even on a damp, rainy day, it was a pleasure to sit near the roaring fire in the bar looking out at the lake. We were offered the restaurant but it was much busier than the bar which has the same food and the same view. The staff are all very pleasant, the... More
