We saw this hotel on trip advisor so when we drove into Killin we decided to boom a room for the night. The hotel is situated on the bridge and views from our room were of the river and stunning. The lounge and restaurant are cosy and well decorated. Food was great , the only downside was the limited choice... More

My wife and I wanted to go somewhere special for her birthday and this lovely place didn't let us down. The food was amazing, the genuine friendliness of the staff was second to none and the price of the meal was excellent value. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone going through Killin.

Stopped off for a hot chocolate and scones which were both really tasty. Hot chocolate had loads of marshmallows and whipped cream and wecouldnt eat all the butter and jam they gave us to go with the scones. My son had a fruit juice and a delicious carrot cake. Definitely go back. Only criticism was that the fire went out... More

I just wanted to write and let you all know how deeply disappointed I was with not only our meal but also where we were put to have our meal on Saturday night! We have been here lots of times and it's usually lovely! We were staying at the caravan site and decided to book last week for dinner. We... More

Thank you for taking the time to post your review of your recent dining experience with us on Trip Advisor. We are really disappointed that you did not enjoy your evening. Cooked to perfection. and very well presented. Well worth a stop-by if you happen to be travelling through Killin. Congratulations to the team in the kitchen. We joined the Lotus Enthusiasts group for breakfast this morning. We ordered hot rolls while some others had a delicious full breakfast. Generous helpings of haggis, egg, sausage etc were perfectly cooked to order and served in delicious rolls. As much tea and coffee as we could drink and all served in a lovely comfy dining room. Sincere thanks to... More

We have eaten at the Lochay many times over the last 19 years and have seen it move from a not very good place to eat to the place it is today. Bob & Amanda have really turned the place around and although chefs and waiting staff move on from time to time they manage to maintain very high levels... More
