Lovely building at the side of the loch, not sure anyone would find it if they were not familiar with the site. Ate with 2 kids and we enjoyed it and the childs menu is good. Lovely fire, bar and seating area. Was very quiet towards the end of the season but still a warm welcome. Would be lovely setting... More

Popped in on a Sunday for coffee and cake. Both the cakes were excellent and the lattes were well presented. Friendly staff and the outdoor seats give great views.

Not impressed with the staff here. The person working the afternoon shift couldn't be bothered even trying to do her job.

Went to Boathouse Bistro on Bank Holiday Monday. There were signs for restaurant and bistro, blackboard outside welcoming you to try their food and another board with today's soups. After going DOWN and DOWN and DOWN the road to bistro my sister and I were told in an unfriendly voice "There's no food, the chef is off today". We then... More

Just returned from an amazing trip to Loch Tay. We stayed in in one of the glens and visited The Bistro, which was so good we chose to eat there both evenings! I must say I'm slightly shocked by the review below, as our experience was the polar opposite. We found the food and service fantastic, and the attentiveness was... More

We've visited several times, it's in a stunning location right on the loch side. We arrived at 1130 on a Sunday morning and would have liked lunch but they didn't start serving until 1200 and so we settled for coffee and cake. A little disappointed that they couldn't have found us some hot food - there were six staff including... More

Visiting family in Glasgow we treated to meal in this lovely restaurant. The evening started out with drinks in the bar of the Cameron lodge de vere hotel which overlooked the loch which was very still and tranquil on a glorious evening of the 25th August. We then proceeded to the boathouse were the atmosphere was great and the food... More
