Fresh food, real chips, fresh fish, great soups and the coffee is excellent.... More

Enjoyed a tasty lunch recently at Cafe Rhu. This really is a hidden gem and at the end of a pleasant walk from Helensburgh. Great food freshly prepared, smashing soup, homebaking and excellent coffee all served by friendly staff. What more would you need? Maybe a lie down! Don't know why someone recently posted saying the sandwiches were curly as... More

Must be about my 5th lunch in this little place, but each time months apart. It just seems to get better. The variety, the service, the food, and the atmosphere. Modestly named Cafe Rhu, the food is much much more than "cafe" food. If you're wandering anywhere within range of this place, try it, You'll be pleasantly surprised.

Right in the marina at Rhu, this small but friendly cafe serves all manner of meals and great coffee. Having a boat in the marina was the reason for first trying it, but I've been back many times and during winter, while the boat is out of the water and I'm there doing maintenance, I always go. But its not... More

Never had a bad meal here. Great choice of homemade soups & the mince and tatties are fab! Staff are excellent & very friendly. It would be better if the rolls & scones were heated up in the oven & not the microwave though.
