Beautiful surroundings near banks of Loch Lomond. Traditional Scottish home cooking and specialities. Their venison is to die for!! Old fashioned interior but well kept and staff always pleasant and attentive. Always try to visit here when visiting friends in Glasgow and have never had a bad meal....always good and lip-licking!!!

Location is fantastic, beer is good, haggis very good ;) Staff is very nice and friendly, we were waiting a bit too long though for food. Worth visiting I suggest to choose beer from local micro-brewery

The Oak Tree Inn is an oasis for a drink after an amble up Conic Hill (great views over the islands of Loch Lomond; steep but very doable) Tasty Orkney Brewery ales on draught - the Northern Pale Ale was a lovely pint. Great bar food with substantial meals to suit the outdoorsy clientele. Nice seating areas outside on a... More

The Oak tree is a great stop to have a nice lunch / dinner or even just a beer. The portions are big, the price is fair and the ingredients are top notch. Beautiful place, by the loch. Highly recommended!

We drove past this place and it seemed pretty busy which is usually a good sign - especially at 3pm on a Friday! We came back and stopped for late lunch. Cullen Skink was tasty and almost enough of a portion to be a main course. The fish and chips were great as was the minced beef in Yorkshire pud,... More

This is a little gem of a place. Food is very good and very filling. Staff are very helpful and friendly. The place is lovely, with a good atmosphere about it. Plenty of hikers stopping by. Lovely relaxed place.

Stopped with family of 8 for a dinner. Very good pub grub. The fish platter for sharing was a highlight - and 3 might have done us all on another night. Friendly service, good value.

We stayed for one night in this friendly and clean Hotel. We have stayed before. This trip was as pleasant as the first. The staff cannot do enough to make your stay great. The food is amazing. Cooked to perfection and very, very tasty. Priced reasonably. Great portions too. The drinks are not expensive and the wine was lovely. Thank... More

This is one of those places where they don't take reservations. They really don't have to with a steady stream of hungry campers as well as their own guests and hungry guests of other places in the area with not so good kitchens. We fitted this last group, staying up the road where having seen how breakfast was murdered, we... More

The Oak tree burger with homemade onion rings towering atop, paired with a pint of dark ale- what could be better?
