Went here for a meal while walking the West highland... the food was delicious and the salad was out of this world. I think my salads are great but... this restaurant gave some wonderful ideas to improve them. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone meat eaters and vegetarians. the staff were terrific very attentive, obliging and full of fun.

On our second day of walking the West Highland Way we stopped here for lunch having walked over Conic Hill from Drymen. The food provided was of a good enough standard, certainly we had no complaints of this, however the cost was definitely on the high side. Almost £8 for a cheese and pickle panini is simply too high as... More

Go on the internet and its Oak Tree all the way in the area... Well firstly it's the ONLY place to eat in Balmaha which makes it the best... it's certainly not the overrated food. Cramped and too close tables, overpriced food and frankly underwhelming food (charming staff and service mind you) and most annoying for me and my family... More

We stayed one night here the inn was very busy when we arrived and we were shown to our room (7) which was spotless and was above the bar facing the main road. Reading other reviews the walls are paper thin but ear plugs are supplied if needed which we didn't need to use. We went for a walk and... More

We went here for an evening meal. It was very busy went we went in so really please we had booked before going. Had a lovely table in window and the open fire was very welcoming. The food we ordered came very quick considering how busy it was. The pizza was very tasty. I am not normally a dessert person... More

Ate here twice and enjoyed both meals. Beef pie and fish and chips both very good. Banoffe pie the best I've had.

Had 2 meals here whilst on a short break, lunch and dinner. Food was great with very ample portions. The home made soup was a meal in itself.

Excellent fish platter as a starter. Good range of menu all at reasonable prices. Will revisit when next in the area.

I agree with a previous reviewer that it is quite expensive however...... The food was quite frankly excellent. Lunch was the meal of the day, I shared a chicken pizza with my good lady, an excellent thin crust example chock a block with tasty chicken pieces and delicious cheese and herbs. The kids chose from the childrens menu, one burger... More

Service and food are great a wee bit expensive but a good variety. A good selection of wines and ales also available.
