There is nothing more to say. Great pub food, humongous portions and extremely attentive stuff. Check out the blackboard before you order. Cannot be anywhere near Balmaha without going there and having that platter. You will have to share or skip the main. Good choice of ales and whisky galore. The pub is beautifully located.

Love the oak tree. Perfect example of a well run family business. Always plenty of lively vegi options. Love it.

We loved the ambience of this inn. It is situated in a super area for walkers and provides a welcome stop for refreshments. Other reports would suggest that the menu has some delights to offer but we chose the burgers which tasted like solid porridge flavoured with gravy seasoning.

We ate here on all three nights of our seventh stay at the inn. The food is always good and as the portions are quite large, we never manage three courses. Try the arctic char, delicious. This is one of our favourite places to stay and eat, it has a cosy bar with log fires in winter and you can... More

As part of our annual "Shyles Of Pyte" musical tour, this year we were back in Scotland, based in Drymen and one of our days out was to Balmaha for a look around the area concluding with a stop at the Oak Tree Inn for lunch and to play a session of music. The staff were aware of our visit... More

£47.50 for our superior room, i couldn't have asked for more. The room was lovely, beautifully decorated and modern, better than the online pictures! Lovely view of the loch. The staff are pleasent and the food is lovely, large portions and value for money. The bar is very cosy with a real log fire. The restaurant is also lovely, decorated... More

This is hoe a pub should be in Scotland; nice pub food, a extensive whiskey collection and friendly people that serve you. Just perfect.

We popped in for a few beers, scones & tea and soup after a climb. The atmosphere was lovely, the scones and soup absolutely delicious. The soup in particular we were still discussing the next day! I would happily recommend :)
