Pretty Average

We had a meal here on the third and final night of our stay at Cameron House! I have to say we were a little disappointed and the fillet steak was only average! Not what you expect from a five star hotel!

My husband loves lobsters and he said the lobster at Cameron Grill was one of the best he's ever tasted. I had the Halibut which was also very good. There is a good choice in wine and dessert menu. Very good service as well.

We went a couple of weeks ago for a meal with relatives who were staying at Cameron House. 2 decided on fillet steak, 1 had the sole and I had halibut as I've never tried it before. From start to finish the experience was lovely. We couldn't decide on which white wine to have so were offered a taste of... More

Have not eaten in this restaurant before at Cameron House. All in all we were a little disappointed with the quality of the food. The steak in particular was not great. We did highlight this and an adjustment was made on the bill. Not sure if we would eat here again.

I've eaten here before and it was tremendous but this time it was a little disappointing. The smoked salmon starter was good, if not a little OTT price wise. I had a steak which was really disappointing, next time it will need to be a fillet can't do steak with a huge bone and gristle. Excellent ice cream but a... More

My Wife and I dined here for our 25th wedding anniversary and we're both absolutely wowed. With time for a short drink in the Great Scott's Bar before, we were then welcomed into The Cameron Grill and to our table - from start to finish the service, food and drink experience was as good as we have ever experienced, and... We visited cameron grill whilst staying in a lodge at cameron house. We had visited the restaurant in the previous year and couldn't fault it. Unfortunately, this visit was a completely different experience. There was a very noticeable shortage of staff which made service slow and we were served by a girl who had only started that night and through... More

We stayed at Cameron house and had originally booked the boathouse but decided to change last minute to Cameron grill. I don't have anything bad to say at all. I had the carrot soup and then shared the chateaubriand, which is always tricky as we both like our steak cooked differently, but we opted for well done and it was... More

My husband and I recently had dinner here as part of our stay at Cameron House. We opted to eat off the main menu rather than the set one meaning we just had to pay a little extra over our deals allowance. We had the Salmon Bar to start with - each salmon was delicious and of high quality, we... More

A dark atmospheric restaurant and they should supply torches to read the menu but pleasantly different all the same. The service was rather slow in fact painfully slow but the food was great and when the staff did turn up they were perfectly pleasant. I got the impression that this restaurant hasn't quite come of age as a great eatery... More
