Dinner & breakfast - both great

We stayed at Cameron house and had originally booked the boathouse but decided to change last minute to Cameron grill. I don't have anything bad to say at all. I had the carrot soup and then shared the chateaubriand, which is always tricky as we both like our steak cooked differently, but we opted... read more

We visited cameron grill whilst staying in a lodge at cameron house. We had visited the restaurant in the previous year and couldn't fault it. Unfortunately, this visit was a completely different experience. There was a very noticeable shortage of staff which made service slow and we were served by a girl who had only started that night and through... More

My husband and I recently had dinner here as part of our stay at Cameron House. We opted to eat off the main menu rather than the set one meaning we just had to pay a little extra over our deals allowance. We had the Salmon Bar to start with - each salmon was delicious and of high quality, we... More

A dark atmospheric restaurant and they should supply torches to read the menu but pleasantly different all the same. The service was rather slow in fact painfully slow but the food was great and when the staff did turn up they were perfectly pleasant. I got the impression that this restaurant hasn't quite come of age as a great eatery... More

Sunday lunch was delicious my husband myself my daughter and her fiancée enjoyed a lovely meal in this stunning location. From the first hello to the final goodbye the staff were so friendly which added to the already warm atmosphere. We choose several dishes soup, gravlax , pate , roast meat and vegetarian dishes as well as a choice of desserts... More

It takes a lot for me to write a bad review on Tripadvisor. Usually we just take it on the chin and decide not to go back if a restaurant lets us down but we just felt so disappointed with the Cameron Grill. We had booked 2 nights in Cameron House as we had stayed here previously and loved it.... More

Had a meal here September 2014. Scallops to start followed by fillet steak. Was the best steak I've had and cooked to perfection, medium rare. Other half had the 16oz sirloin - suffice to say neither of us could manage dessert!! Good choice available on the menu and wine list. Overall a wee bit pricey but when it's good food... More

I love my breakfast - there, I've said it - I get hangry (hungry + angry) if I don't get fed and a cup of good coffee in the morning! The Cameron Grill does a mean breakfast - amazing choice, absolutely delicious food, so many options and we were served efficiently and well by the staff, even though it was... More

Dinner for 2 whilst lucky enough to also be staying at Cameron House. Salmon bar was a highlight for starter, steaks cooked to perfection, good quality & value (but slightly limited) wine list, waitress Catherine very knowledgeable & friendly! Worth a visit if a resident there or not!

The Aberdeen Angus steak here is fantastic and well cooked. The restaurant is huge and well decked out. The service is good and we were looked after. We only had 1 course each and drinks and paid £80, so not cheap. The atmosphere was let down by a bizarre old man from Preston, who had an A5 jotter with him... More
