Description: Edinburghs esteemed chef, Martin Wishart, has added a touch of Michelin-starred luxury to the already impressive Cameron House a stylish hotel on the shores of Loch Lomond. Head Chef Stewart Boyles worked with Martin in the kitchen at Restaurant Martin Wishart, so its no surprise that the food here is similarly flawless. The menu features elegant French dishes like roast John Dory forestire with truffle jus; Jerusalem artichoke velout with langoustines; and a lighter-than-air passion fruit souffl. The restaurant itself is light and airy with striped chairs, comfortable banquettes and shades of taupe and plum creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The attentive service, unpretentious atmosphere and thoughtfully chosen wine list complete this unforgettable dining experience.

Most years we visit a lodge at Cameron House. Most years we now go to this restaurant to celebrate my birthday. Most years, no every year feels better than the last, Climb the stairs to a lovely dining room with superb views over Loch Lomond, tables beautifully laid, service from knowledgeable, helpful staff, choice of taster menus or a la... Rounded off a West Coast foodie trip with a visit here on the way back south. Really pleased we did, and that wasn't ENTIRELY down to glimpsing Damian Lewis ;) Setting is magnificent, lovely dining room (and the wingback chairs are as comfy as they are grand) but everything, including waiting staff, other guests and the food felt 'on best... The whole experience was outstanding. The wines were matched perfectly to the taster menu and with every mouthful of food we were amazed with how something could taste so good! The staff were friendly and very impressive catering for every little detail. It is pricey but well worth it. It's worth noting it's closed on Mondays and Tuesdays which caught... More

Searched google maps for a restaurant for dinner and randomly chose this. We were certainly surprised to see that there were no meals under £75 and the dinner ended up taking more than three hours, but the service was excellent and the meals were very nice. They were extremely nice and polite, and had an extensive knowledge of allwhiskies and... More

Finally got round to trying this place which I'd had my eye on for ages and it was superb.Better, even, than expectations - and I can be overly critical about food quality when eating out.Cameron House is quite grand and very dark inside in a modern moody sort of way.The restaurant is extremely elegant ,super classy, always a good start... We had a wonderful special meal here. We chose the 6 course tasting menu with wines. The staff, food, drink, service and situation were second to none. They also catered exceptionally well for a nut allergy in our party.

At £28 the 3 courses weekend set menu is a real bargain for a serving of very tasty food and an array of added free nibbles such as amuse bouche, mini deserts and petit fours. However I found the wine list very expensive with a bottle of Nyetimber English champagne at £90 a bottle when it retails for £29.95 at... More

We were visiting Loch Lomond and thought we would have a late lunch at Cameron house. The boathouse was full and somebody suggested the bar inside the hotel. We took a wrong turning in the foyer and ended up inside this Michelin starred restaurant without realising it. The children were so hungry that I didn't even look at the menu... More

We were given a voucher as a present and chose to 'do lunch'. We were formally greeted by staff at the entrance to the restaurant and shown to our table. The decor is sophisticated and elegant . Tables are a good size and well-dressed. - The style is subtle and unobtrusive. We ordered from the lunch menu and every course... More
