It was a wet Monday in July, Scotland at it's best! Three of us with our two dogs came for lunch. They prefer that you stay in the non carpeted area with your dog which we all agree makes sense especially since one dog is a large wet black Labrador! Unfortunately a family with young children were in that area... More

We stayed on Bute for a week in early July. I thought this pub looked nice from its website so I asked my husband to book it for my birthday lunch. He not only booked the table but asked them to recommend a cake maker which they did. When we arrived the staff were very friendly and we were very... More

My title says it all. Food is wonderful and very reasonably priced for the quality you get. Enjoyed it so much we went back the following day.

I eat at Kingarth regularly it is my favourite restaurant on the Island. Great portion sizes and value for money with an ever changing and interesting Specials board that sits above the cosy fire place. The food is always fresh and delicious and the staff are friendly and happy to help even when rushed off their feet. Its a fabulous... More

Small, 'homey-feeling' restaurant, with good, friendly service; a varied menu with the food locally sourced and beautifully presented; and a well stocked bar with just about every Whiskey brand ever bottled! What more do you need? We visit Bute several times a year and each time we go we make a point of dining here at least once - can't... More

Popped in at the weekend with friends when on a sailing trip. I have been here before and my skipper has been here many times. Didn't eat this time although have previously eaten and enjoyed a god lunch with nice outside dinning space. Always a good cask ale on offer and a good pool table.

My husband and I had went out for a Sunday Drive feeling peckish decided to pop into Kingarth for a meal. I had scampi and my husband had a steak, which we both enjoyed thoroughly. Staff very friendly and meal served with a smile. We had been to this restaurant last year enjoyed our meal then and this time served... More

Lovely inside with a nice beer garden for dining too. Food was excellent. My wife and I both had a burger which was filling and of a high standard. Location is remote and pricing is above average for the island.
